Mar 22nd 2011 12:58PM I hated Ozruk before - but after discovering the sulfuron slammer trick, it's been fun. Of course having Direbrew's Remote for easy access to Grim Guzzler helps, so I can restock my booze without lengthy travel!
Besides, hunters getting more and more drunk as the fight progresses tends to get some laughs out of the most serious of pugs :P
Mar 17th 2011 12:32PM A question for the Queue;
I've been happily leveling my new discipline priest, and recently got as far as to get the 31-point talent Power Word: Barrier. As it happened, soon enough a tank stood in Ingvar's Dark Smash and I hit everything I could to keep him alive... only later wondering if Pain Suppression and Barrier actually stack or not. Googling produced wildly conflicting information, some claiming that they stack and some trying to prove that they don't.
Can you shed light on this for a newb priest? Which (if any) discipline ohsh*t-cooldowns stack?
Feb 3rd 2011 11:39AM When I first created this macro (replacing my old /castsequence !Aspect of the Hawk, !Aspect of the Fox), I got a system message - "Unknown macro option: aspect". Still seems to work when switching aspects though.
Feb 1st 2011 9:26AM Completing the entire quest chain for the Scepter awarded us with the Feat of Strength when Cataclysm hit. The name of it would have worked well as a title: Veteran of the Shifting Sands.
Jan 26th 2011 11:40AM There is another detail on Ozruk that I -as a hunter- dislike. Not one of my DoTs reflect off him! I can keep throwing Serpent Sting, Black Arrow and Explosive Shots at him, to no avail. The only way I can actually get a DoT on myself to avoid Paralyze is to know exactly when the cast begins, and chug a Sulfuron Slammer just before it casts - or just forget about that dps thing I should be doing and go be a melee hunter.
If I mistime drinking, the healer hasn't specced into removing magic debuffs, or hasn't got time to dispel me - I will most likely die from eating that 50k damage a few times when healer is busy keeping the tank up. Not to mention that even if I actually manage to time it right and get that short DoT on myself for each cast, a few mistimed and wasted Sulfuron Slammers will result in the Drunken Vomit debuff...
Nov 18th 2010 12:41PM Bah, reply fail - meant as a response to Tirrimas there.
Nov 18th 2010 12:37PM I have the same problem here - and I doubt my addon skills are quite
high enough to manage squeezing a ready-made UI to a smaller screen.
The bright side is that I've had to force myself to learn to configure
some rather complicated addons; pitbull4 being the prime example. My
setup may not be pretty (I'm not that good yet), but it -is-
There have been some reader UI's of the week from smaller screens
featured in the past months, perhaps we can try to beg some more!
Aug 14th 2010 3:23AM Eagerly awaiting a certified Frostheim video with jump-disengage-steady shot demonstration. Also, I want a pony.
Jul 16th 2010 5:44AM I installed this a few days ago, to use while tanking on my paladin alt. I absolutely loved the threat plates from the first moment, but unfortunately the addon causes some radical drops in fps. First noticed in heroic PoS, my fps would suddenly plummet from a steady 25-30 to 4-5, making the game practically unplayable.
It might be an issue with other addons, or just that my pc is on the antique side, but I hope I can get it working since on my brief tries with it, it really helped keeping control of a large packs of mobs.
Jul 7th 2010 8:21AM The reasons why this is a very bad idea have been repeated many times already. I'm not envying the position that one blizz employee is now in - he will probably be the target of harassment for a long, long time to come.
I won't be using the forums after this change. Our RP realm already has a separate wiki, and it seems likely that the rp community will be moving their discussions there.
