Oct 28th 2009 4:16PM That was great! So much better than the fail that's been season 3. Nice to see the characters reverting back to what made them funny and gel together as a "guild." Clara's antics always crack me up... a martini glass in hand and the kid in the street. Win!
Oct 21st 2009 3:05PM Not good. Very not good.
This season continues to fly off the rails. The plot points and little nuances that made season one great, funny, and innovative are gone -- Codex and her shrink who fired her, the weird stalker warlock who moves in with her, Clara's hilarious neglectful mothering, Vork's cheapness and lack of electricty. Wil Wheaton's character is obnoxious and abrasive and brings nothing to the show whatsoever -- it's a shame because the idea could have been good, an evil, rival guild to contrast with our heroes against the backdrop of a new expansion, rife with jokes and references to Wrath. FPS tall girl had some promise at the end of season 2, but the relationship with her and Zabo is stupid and too much of a stretch. I knew that whole subplot had jumped the shark when they were making out in line for the game in episode one. Plus they're getting way too much airtime... Zabo doesn't even bring the lols anymore. It's like him suddenly wearing a banana costume all the time and delivering the same catch phrase over and over, episode after episode.
I didn't think anything could be more lackluster than the stuntman stuff of last season, but man, this is just crap.
It's disappointing because The Guild started out great. Season one I far preferred to Pure Pwnage, but season 2 and 3 are of such low quality now I'm done.
Oct 12th 2009 9:48AM I wish to God Blizz would remove the stupid Bloodsail Admiral achievement. Nothing says total douche like that title. Maybe replace it with, "Moron quest-giver ganker"
Oct 8th 2009 3:02PM About time. It's a hugely unpopular, poorly designed instance. What makes me curious is if they're going to a. scrap the dungeon entirely or b. redesign it and then implement some phasing mechanic down the road.
Oct 7th 2009 4:57PM That was the first guild episode I gave up on halfway through. It was just awful... not funny, disjointed, and all-out boring. I think that's it for me. I don't even have the interest anymore to give the next episode a shot when it comes out. Season 2 was disappointing; season 3 has been even worse.
It's too bad too cause I loved the first season.
Oct 7th 2009 4:51PM I really enjoyed this movie. Just because there's not a linear storyline or dialogue doesn't mean there's no story behind it. It's surreal by design -- if you've ever seen the movie Phantasm and its sequels, I bet you enjoyed this one as much as I did. The little girl blinking in and out in the room like that was an allusion to Ringu, a J-horror movie, and its Americanized version which I hope everyone knows, The Ring.
This was actually quite refreshing, a nice change of scenery from the usual Wow movie fare.
