EA reveals SWTOR subscription and sales numbers, beats financial predictions [Updated] {Massively}

Feb 8th 2012 10:08PM I guess I would be one of those players that bought the game and within 12 hours of playing wish I hadn't wasted so much money on essentially a single player game squeezed into an mmo's shoes.

Couldn't stand it after a week and cancelled my account.

WoW Moviewatch: I'll Fight For You {WoW}

Feb 6th 2012 12:10PM Great ending...

I can click ready or put the chips down... I just didn't want to put the chips down.

Breakfast Topic: Does being overgeared matter? {WoW}

Jan 30th 2012 12:58PM I've seen this in multiple instances from every perspective.

First and foremost, everyone needs to understand that tanks can only do so much. If a DPS machine comes in vastly outgearing the instance, they need to accept if they die from agro it's their own fault. That said...

As a tank it's a challenge to hold agro, but I know if I can wrestle the mobs away from a nuclear cannon, the run just goes that much faster for all of us. It's a challenge I love accepting.

As a healer my priority is always the tank first. If I have spare mana to keep the nuclear cannon alive, then I'll gladly spend it to help the group run that much faster.

As dps, I try and assist the nuclear cannon as much as possible to maximize the overall group dps. If this means trapping in front of him or (with tanks permission) pulling large packs ahead of us back into the nuclear cannons sights, then it helps our group run that much faster.

All in all, as long as the crazy dps understand he's ultimately responsible for his own life and the faster we kill the faster we finish, it's all good. When DPS brags about amazing dps, I congrat them. When DPS brags about being better than everyone else in a shove it in your face manner, I kick them.

All in all though, I generally love the challenge and rewards of balls to walls dps.

Drama Mamas: The case of the mass guild eviction {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 11:37AM My assumption is the guild leader created the guild to sell it. He invited you guys and let you level the guild for him.

Once you got him high enough level, he kicked you to sell the guild to someone else.

Jan 20th 2012 11:23AM If they changed the loot rules so you could re-roll on a boss perhaps
1 or 2 days later by passing on loot in Raid Finder, how much would
that help or hurt the current loot issues in Raid Finder?

The more I think about it, the more it makes sense to me to change it
to that. Raiders could re-run Raid Finder until their desires loot
drops, and even then they'd have to win the roll. Random noobs
rolling on stuff they don't need should decrease dramatically when
they are holding out for something else.

Main problem I guess would be people being geared too quickly, but
placing a one or two day eligibility to reroll might fix that.

Thoughts?

Jan 20th 2012 11:11AM Elemental goo is super easy. Just take the port to Hyjal, kill the elementals in front of you, and immediately take the portal behind you back to orgrimmar. Takes 3 mins top.

Jan 8th 2012 1:06PM In regards to the johnny.ramos's question, if you are logging into WoW from very different IP addresses, sometimes WoW thinks you might be attempting to hack the account and automatically force a password change.

I've found that over time and multiple password changes, it's started to trust my college connection more often as I log on both networks when attending school.

It might fix itself over time or it might continue to just be a big pain in the butt. Either way, get an authenticator to make sure and double check your computer is clean of viruses, keyloggers, and rootkits.
