Dec 2nd 2010 9:22AM Leveling a gnome priest, following the Dwarf quest path... so far only Arathi was much the same... the others have been so great I'm dreading 60 and Outlands... Might have to start over with a human just to do the Westfall/Redridge loop before... Oh my god! so little time!!
Nov 20th 2010 11:47AM @Bubble: No need for a reinstall of WoW... Just copy your entire Warcraft installation onto an external USB drive, and bring that with you. Copy it onto the borrowed PC, drag a shortcut to the launcher or wow.exe to the desktop and you're good to go. I had the game transferred from my laptop to my new PC in no time. Not needing to "install" WoW is one of its best features, IMO.
Nov 15th 2010 9:23PM One needn't buy them all at once. Get the combo vanilla and BC... play through to 70. Maybe make a few toons. Learn the game and how to play your toons. Buy Wotlk when you can afford it. Play to 80. Get Cataclysm when you can... tada! Just like the rest of us have done since Vanilla. And then, your friends won't get booted out of their first hundred Cataclysm pugs for being such noobs, who were power leveled cluelessly to 80.
Oct 25th 2010 10:52AM It's also important to remember whose raid you are in... if you're not leading, zip it. I was recently running as a MT in ICC for a guild group that REALLY took their time between pulls/attempts. Used to a much faster pace (get back, get buffed, get in position, pull) the waits for bios, and unexplained delays were driving me INSANE! Not to mention watching my flasks tick away was like watching my blood drip out...
But, I was a guest. These guys had been running this way together for quite a while, they were used to it, that's what they liked. So, I kept quiet... I realized that this was MY problem, not theirs. So, I explained things to the Raid Leader, and after completing the lockout with them as far as they were going said my fond farewells. They're a great group of folks, just not my raiding style.
Doing it differently is not wrong.
Oct 8th 2010 9:06AM Also cool? That there's no barrier to a lowbie wandering where he shouldn't. I remeber when I first started, and my level 20 gnome 'lock wanted to see where that path went to out of Duskwood... I was with a couple other total noobs... Next thing I know this red thing as big as a freakin' skyscraper steps into my field of view... the following second my gnome was a grease spot on his heel. Microseconds later, the guys with me were also dead. We couldn't stop laughing.
Sep 18th 2010 5:42PM As Roy would say, "Did you try turning it off and on again?" Worked for me to reboot.
Apr 19th 2010 2:10PM I've always thought those wings should have a use in meta. What are these demons, emo emus? Fly, damn you, FLY!
Apr 13th 2010 3:22PM You coulda skipped the disclaimer. Unlike mages, locks have a sense of humor... and could see the snowjob in the Arcane Brilliance column coming as soon as we read the byline.
Hobbs could've avoided the issue with more pictures and fewer words. Reading makes mages mad.
Apr 7th 2010 11:16AM I had a tossup between Locks and DKs... But I think lock wins. My main has been a lock since Vanilla, and there's been a lot of changes (can't believe you can BUY a dreadsteed), but this next iteration will be a whole new game. Just hoping we don't become indistinguishable from mages.
And if you only carry around 5 stones... I'm amazed. I'm still not comfortable with being limited to 32!
Mar 10th 2010 4:08PM Sounds like a console would be a great place for PvP... no more worries about PvP vs. PvE balance in the online PvE MMORPG.
