I love the pvp fights, and all the little alliance to pick on. I never tried leveling there though. Didn't even venture through it until I first went to ZG.
For leveling, I love the barrens. Cool quests, large zone, great look, and even some alliance to kill on their way to the instances there.
I really liked Duskwallow too, not sure why, just do.
Worst would be desolace.

Anyway, you can easily level a hunter up naked. The gear really doesn't do anything except up your own damage a bit. As a hunter, my pet does all the tanking, and I am rarley even hit. You can see everything on the mini-map, and even if you are getting hit, you can feign death.
Now to see a warrior level up naked, that would be a feat. They are very gear dependant.
