Aug 27th 2010 8:38AM I've been playing a feral druid main since the second day of launch. Interestingly, during Vanilla, Druids and Shaman were the two least played classes, Shaman winning out overall for Least Played due to being Horde-only. I believe this was due to the harsh hybrid penalty imposed during Vanilla WoW. As the hybrid penalty has been reduced with each expansion, these classes have become much more popular.
One of the reasons I played my druid was because it was such an underrepresented class... Guess that's why I'm leaning toward playing a Worgen Rogue in Cataclysm ;)
May 26th 2010 12:54PM In my opinion, the core concept of D&D is creation, creation of unique characters and stories. I hope that the next D&D MMO creator realizes this and brings the next iteration of the City of Heroes Mission Architect to the table. I can imagine an Adventure Marketplace that rewards popular content creators with free game time or other things. I spent more time in Champions Online's character creator than I did actually playing the game, I felt like I was wasting my time not actually playing, take that creative juice and let me create whole stories and reward me for it, and I'm there.
Nov 7th 2009 3:59AM While I havent played much LotRO myself, I've heard that there is a hybrid class that can both heal and dps, but to ensure they can't do both very well at the same time, they have a balance of sorts, do dps and your damage gets better at the cost of the power of your healing spells and vice-versa.
It's an interesting idea that I think would make paladins more interesting to play, balancing on three axis: threat/mitigation, damage and healing.
Feb 3rd 2009 12:38PM Forgive me. "...nearly one shot any character in a 10-19 BG." I did not intend to infer that he might sunder an entire squad of Horde with a single blow from his mighty, if ill-gotten, weapon. :P
Feb 3rd 2009 12:22PM The sword may be gone, but his combat statistics are still there: Largest Hit Dealt - 1030. What level 10 twink do you know that can nearly one shot the entirety of a 10-19 BG?
Dec 28th 2008 4:15PM My most anticipated game announcement has to be Project V13 from recently resurrected Interplay, all signs point to this being the Fallout MMO.
Sep 23rd 2008 4:24PM These bikes should periodically breakdown and require being brought to an engineer to repair it.
Sep 21st 2008 7:01PM I'm hoping, though without any evidence, that they make the seasonal event mounts account-bound like the Collector's Edition and Blizzcon pets/items, so you only need to get it on one character (Since I already have a Swift Brewfest Ram on my main from last year, but I'd like to get the "Brewmaster" title for an alt.)
Sep 19th 2008 4:22PM Regarding Form customization: The fact that they are not going to half-ass something in time for Wrath is encouraging. Form customization is important but not more important than class balance (and Bear tanking!)
Jan 12th 2008 7:59PM One of the major reasons why people just tried the Blood Elves and Draenei then dropped the characters, was because they still had to level them 1-70 like all other characters, with Death Knights starting out at level 55(ish), Death Knights will be far more likely to be leveled to 70.
Every player that wanted a farming mule, will role Death Knight. Every player starting on a new server, will role Death Knight (even if it's just to provide money and materials for leveling their main character on that new server). And finally, every gold farmer wanting to get into Outland and at the profitable materials quickly, will role Death Knight.
