Officers' Quarters: A friendly loot system {WoW}

Apr 19th 2010 9:55AM Loot dropping is as certain as death and taxes, leaving a guild because they didn't get what they wanted is not the caliber of player you want in your guild anyways. We use a /roll system in my guild, with a slight addition of Loot Council from the GM when/if needed. The only time he uses this power is if it's a massive upgrade for someone and only slight for another person. This works brilliantly for us because everyone in the guild cares about how well we do as a whole and we all trust our GM.

You absolutely did the right thing in not booting the opposing player. In all reality the guy who won probably deserves it more because he didn't constantly talk about how badly he wants XYZ loot.

Breakfast Topic: Is it time for a change? {WoW}

Apr 12th 2010 9:12AM imo, the game itself completely changes once you hit 80. While leveling is fun for some people (I personally loathe it). I'm an MT for a fairly successful guild I personally LOVE tanking. The idea of leading my comrades into battle by diving head first into the fight never gets old. Even playing as a healer keeping them up through fights like Gurtogg Bloodboil, between rotating in and out of the debuffs, or rotating around Illidan whilst tanking fire adds, and finally bringing ice blocks to just before their breaking point and waiting to dodge ice bombs on Sindragosa. As far as complexity of fights it makes it that much more interesting to do every fight. Elsewise theres doing random dungeons and testing other players skill as I pull entire hallways of mobs. Or farming in Wintergrasp hopping you run into a horde just to gank him and take the frost lotus he so vigilantly hunted for but failed. Theres so much more about the game to explore once you hit 80, couple that with playing with a bunch of people you enjoy the company of? Theres nothing better.

More Ruby Sanctum information: loot, lore, and more {WoW}

Feb 20th 2010 3:51PM I'm sorry dude, I fail to see your point in all of that rambling. Blizz has ended an epic storyline, and not every guild on the planet has gotten to that encounter yet and it may be a few months before they do. So Blizz opens up another Sanctum which you can tell by the layout of that room they've been meaning to for quite sometime. It's like at christmas, you have most all your presents under the tree(Naxx, Ulduar, ToC) and you've got a stocking hanging from the fire place as well(OS, RS, Maly, Ony, VoA). I don't see an issue with this especially since it's seemingly a way to keep people interested, and progress the lore. I have 100% unyielding faith in everything Blizzard does, from the CD protection onf D2, to the Mobi Authenticator on Bnet accounts, to the DRM for SC2. Keep the faith and they'll deliver.

Breakfast Topic: Hi ho Silver, away! {WoW}

Feb 1st 2010 10:00AM Zulian tiger hands down, got exalted on my rogue, then my priest, THEN my pally. After 4 years of doing ZG and seeing it drop once 3 years ago on my rogue. About a month ago I got it to drop on my pally(my main) after farming for about a year. Now just need White Hawkstrider, and Deathcharger. and I'll be satisfied.

Drama Mamas: That Guy {WoW}

Dec 4th 2009 6:00PM I've got slight anger management issues with people that just refuse to adapt or learn how to play, but truthfully having my girlfriend come over and hug/kiss me on the cheek at saying "Calm down sweetie" takes all the hate out of me. You don't need to have any hidden strategies, just show some light intimacy and say "Babe, could you please take it down a notch?" If that doesn't work then start being casual and show lack of interest and hope he follows.

WoW launcher and downloader causing validation errors [Updated] {WoW}

Nov 10th 2009 8:36AM I'm guessing last nights patch was due to the B.Net WoW Account Merger thinger, but mines still not working I get this: " The file "WoW.exe" could not be found. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support." Everytime, now I don't have game discs so to uninstall means a full day of re-downloading and installing the vanilla, BC, and Wrath stuff....any tips would be greatly appreciated. I've already tried rebooting my computer, and launching from the WoW folder itself instead of a shortcut...Thanks in advance. WoW.com is da bomb.

Print Warcraft opens its doors {WoW}

Nov 3rd 2009 6:10PM With how often gear changes on toons, with upgrades and what not I don't see this being worth it for mains. My rogue has been retired for awhile now. He just sits in Stormwind next to the AH in full Nightslayer set and Maladath, Iblis for aesthetics. That'd be kinda cool I guess, but 30 bucks for a poster? I'll pass.

Wrath expected in China in mid-November {WoW}

Oct 27th 2009 2:25PM Thanks for the input Snow. Was really curious about it.

Wrath expected in China in mid-November {WoW}

Oct 27th 2009 9:11AM They'll probably just release it all in one big bundle, I'm just curious about all these policies that China has against showing bone and flesh? Is it a deep seeded respect for the dead or something? What about the mass amount of indie zombie movies that come out of their? Or all the anime, and action flicks? Are these acceptable?
