Dec 16th 2009 11:23AM "6. If you are the leader, freaking lead."
Amen to that. If you've selected to be leader, quickly ask if everyone knows what they're doing, ask if anyone may need a bit of slack/help (ie inexperienced/undergeared) and mark targets or designate someone else to do all the marking. Would make things so much easier!
Dec 14th 2009 9:51AM I've had good and bad PUGs so far. Worst was when I decided to try tanking for the first time with my Druid. I said at the start that it was my first time, and it was also my first time running Culling of Stratholm. Rather than anyone giving me any tips or slack, or even asking if I would switch to Resto/DPS (which I would have gladly done, there was a DK that could have tanked), I was yelled at and kicked before I could even offer to switch spec. One player was marked as a star, told everyone else to 'follow the star' and rushed ahead all the time without waiting for breaks or to discuss tactics.
Also what annoys me is if someone lists to be the leader, in my mind they should always be marking targets or at least designate someone else to. I know everyone can now mark but it is easier for everyone else if the leader (which is 99% of the time the tank in my experience) to actually lead by throwing a few symbols about.

Nov 24th 2009 8:31AM This website actually provides most of my WoW love outside the game. There is a nice steady stream of content to read throughout the day that I like to read at work and it pretty much covers all the aspects of WoW.
I sub to a few Druid blogs which as easy enough to keep up with because they only update once a week at the most.
Last on the list is not the essential but still entertaining wow.com podcast and the other popular WoW podcast.
