Apr 10th 2011 5:14PM I don't doubt a lot of people can handle the way holy paladins play now, especially as a new player, but after a two year hiatus and paladins (healers in general) having such an overhaul in cata it was pretty daunting. Also, I said right at 85. I'm sure the mana issues lessen with purpalz and a full raid worth of buffs, but I've been tanking and gearing as such so i wouldn't know yet.
Apr 10th 2011 3:21PM I was not expecting holy paladins to be complete and utter suck right at 85. I adored my pally mid-wotlk before I quit for awhile and I came back to a clunky, attempt-at-homogenization, holy playstyle.
So far it's kept me as prot / alting to avoid the subject but ill give it another go before I switch my offspec.
Also: bear and dk ranking is enjoyable to me, which it definitely didn't used to be. I didn't much care for them in previous xpacs, but I'm thoroughly enjoying them now.
Mar 30th 2011 4:48PM Maaaybe they could leave some nostalgia as it is? Not everything needs to be recycled. Or just finish out the current heirloom set with the Dungeon 0 that got deleted.
Mar 26th 2011 4:55PM More often than not the web radio station Groove Salad (Soma.FM). Awesome ambient music that can play for hours without getting old. Other times the wow soundtrackS on shuffle, (especially the original login theme to remember the glory days). Other times Pandora, but its gotten so fat with ads lately I try not to.

Apr 18th 2010 8:10PM Haha. Oh, I wish them losing their ships made them learn what they did wrong. The aforementioned shield tanked Hyp got popped twice during our last war, having done 0 dmg to his attackers, and he just grinded out some more isk and refit another one. Sooo upetting.
Apr 18th 2010 7:30PM Love your article. Can't wait for Sundays to see what you've come up with for the week. Congratulations on two years, hope it's around for many more.
A couple guides I'd like to see:
-A guide to finding the information you need to fit a ship for PVE, PVP, etc. Maybe links to sites that give fitting advice and top mistakes when fitting X ship for Y use (Shield tanked 8x425mm Hyperion with Co-Processors and RCU's in PVE, etc).
-A beginner's guide that gives a few examples of where to start training and what ships to aim for depending on what you want to do. Maybe a list of "professions" people could train towards when they're just starting.
I really feel these are things new players just need to learn. I'm currently in a corp where the players did not (and still don't) do the proper research when they started playing and everything they fit and do is an absolute mess. I've tried to direct them to BattleClinic load-outs and their New Player Guide, but because they've been doing the same things for a couple years they're determined that it's right.
PS: Sorry if either of these were covered before.
