May 21st 2007 11:24AM hehe I think if I tried the Gold-Spam-Drinking-Game, I would probably be found passed out within the hour in front of my computer with my two new kittens lapping up any spilled excess, and my character either dead, running into a wall, or disconnected. Not a pretty picture. ;)
May 21st 2007 10:39AM Awesome stuff! I love seeing the characters and landscapes done in new ways. More art!! :D
May 21st 2007 9:36AM COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE
No food while playing, I like a clean keyboard/mouse.
And no alcohol because corpse running/ getting lost while corpse running, while at first amusing, loses appeal after the 9th circle.
May 18th 2007 4:59PM I am sad to see him go. I think the public should be shut down way more often (give an inch...). Just because you are customer does not mean you have the right to act like a complete ass. It is totally understandable to want to defend oneself against selfish thoughtless people who have no compunction about behaving like rabid animals, especially when they are able to hide behind virtual masks. It must be very hard to work in a position where you have to play goalie/punching bag to that kind of garbage all day. I hope Tseric gets some rest, takes an awesome vacation, unwinds and finds a happier place to be in. Mental abuse over an extended period of time just isn't worth a paycheck.
May 3rd 2007 8:41AM hahaha This story can't be true... I hope. Cos if it is, then that woman sucks and really shouldn't be playing games in the first place if she's gonna PMS and flip out everytime she gets ganked... also sounds like her husband is a tool for following through on commands from wicked witch of the west
Apr 26th 2007 10:49AM I had the warden's staff drop in Ungoro Crater for my then 45 mage (who, being my first character, noobly equipped the staff while excitedly sharing the discovery of it via whisper with my druid friend who could have used it to better effect :P). That was also prior to dressing rooms and I was excited to see what it looked like hahaha. When my noob mage hit 58 I saw the hurricane ( -its a bow or gun can't remember) drop in Winterspring. I was teaming with a hunter at the time for faction rep and passed on it for him. He was so excited he talked in caps for the rest of our teaming time. On my priest (same server) I saw Alanna's Embrace drop in Stratholme (awesome robe :D) and the Book of the Dead (which summons a skellie to fight for you!) drop in scholomance. Fun Fun.
Apr 24th 2007 4:10PM Having rolled a priest out of curiosity (still lowly in lvl), I was wondering, what if I aimed to spec 0/31/30? I would be taking mostly stuff to assist in damage in the shadow tree but not shadowform. And in the holy tree I would take mostly the stuff for reducing heal time and crit heals. I am wondering how much this would gimp me? I know I would be missing the clearcast, spirit buff, and mana regen while casting, but I was thinking at least this way I could heal well and do some (though obviously not as much in the damage department). I am mainly trying to level up by doing instances, but I thought the shadow damage would be nice for soloing/ a little pvp. I am 25 atm and have split stuff 0/8/8 so far. Am I nuts to not take anyting at all in the discipline tree? Thanks for any advice.
Apr 19th 2007 4:08PM LOL @128. That's it. I'm making a sentient monkeys only guild. BRING YOUR BANANAS AND LEAVE YOUR POO FLINGIN WAYS AT HOME!
Apr 18th 2007 1:38PM I wish Blizzard would make end game armor sets and class weapons for hybrid classes more specific to an individual's talent spec as opposed to across the board "shaman" armor, tier whatever. Or at least offer it as an option. It would help offset some of the jack of all trades "adjustments" being made and offer more individualism in game. (Insert frowny face here at lack of enhancement shaman gear in end game). The game unfortunately channels you into being one spec or the other and doesn't offer much in the way of synergistic combos of talent trees for hybrids. Which sort of defeats the purpose of being a true hybrid in the first place. Part of the fun and challenge of shamans is remaining versatile. And end game armor/weapons usually end up not favoring the sum total of skills of a true hybrid. Granted, my shaman (enhancement specced) is only 45 atm. I don't mind having to carry healing and int gear with me for instances, etc. It'd just be nice to have some melee armor in there as well for later on, considering the game lets one stay in enhancement spec at higher lvls. Instead of making each talent tree less effect (considering players have to pick one more than the others to benefit and not be gimped), why not offer talents that create unique combo effects based on what you pick within different trees? Or maybe treat the different skills as stances you can switch back in forth in battle with, I dunno :) -end of ramble
Apr 13th 2007 1:30PM I have been playing an enhancement specced (orc yay!) shaman for a bit (so much fun!) and just got to the shiny awesomeness of dual wielding (with talents in place to prevent missing as much etc). It's a ton of fun to pulverize an enemy really fast in a huge whirlwind of windfury and lightning. The nerf to the windfury saddens me a bit, I will have to see how windfury/flametongue etc works.
Basically one would apply the highest rank of windfury to the main hand and the next highest rank to off hand, thus causing them to each proc in their own cycle, and do hella damage (especially when comboed with flurry, stormstrike, lightning shield etc.). I think they nerfed it because of the high burst damage spike being so chaotic (whereas I assume it will be less damage and steadier output with windfury and something else fire/frost/rock). I will miss it tho 8(
