Autonito opens websites you specify in Google Chrome's Incognito mode -- automatically! {Download Squad}

Aug 9th 2010 9:50AM So is there any way to make Chrome automatically open into incognito mode rather than having to manually tell it to do so?

Firefox 4 Beta 2 is out, now with App Tabs and tabs on top for Mac {Download Squad}

Jul 28th 2010 9:58AM The tabs seem to eat up a lot of space on screen. I wish the tabs would line up (to the right) of the 3 window buttons (red, yellow, & green) at the top of the OS X window. Anyone know if that is a violation of some Apple developer rule to do it that way?

Front rendered surround sound is not a gimmick {Engadget}

Jul 22nd 2010 12:29PM I really want to try one of the newer soundbars. My big reason for not doing so is that I do not want yet another freaking remote to add to the collection as it is (TV, sat box, media box, and PS3). I wrote into the Vizio group and asked about one of their soundbars and was told that if I had the soundbar plugged up to a non-Vizio TV I would have to use two remotes (one for TV and one specifically for the soundbar).

Maybe I could get a learning remote or smart remote, but so far they have seemed more trouble than the benefit. Have any of you used a soundbar with a Logitech or similar multi remote?

Jul 1st 2010 11:03AM I was thinking along the same lines. I just don't know how much longer they can hold out no matter how much they change their look.

iPhone lines crop up at AT&T stores as humanity slips ever further toward its inevitable destruction {Engadget}

Jun 29th 2010 11:51AM I am really surprised someone has not played a serious prank at some of these lines.... fake bio attack, bomb threat, zombie apocalypse, etc... You know some wise ass has thought it through.

Jun 15th 2010 10:42AM Any sign of a VESA mount on the back? Or an included way to get it attached to the back of a TV? It looks nice, but still it is good to get it out of the way sometimes.

First Chrome OS systems to come from Acer, Dell, and HP? {Download Squad}

Jun 13th 2010 10:15AM I really hope this is not going to be a case of having individual OS fragments. I would rather see Chrome OS be a general applicable OS like Windows or Ubuntu in that you can take almost any manufacturer's notebook, download an installer disc (with Ubuntu anyway), and then install it on your notebook. i don't want to have to depend on an HP or a Dell to release a new version of the OS.

iPhone OS 4 renamed iOS 4, launching June 21 with 1500 new features {Engadget}

Did he pronounce it "eye oh ess"? Or "eye-oss" as in the word "ion"?

Is it Facebook's fault that you're still using IE6 at work? {Download Squad}

Jun 1st 2010 9:53AM Speaking for "dumb IT".... Many things can be done, but when actually done, get thrown back in our face because simply just talking to your employees about acceptable uses of company time doesn't do squat unless company management actually follows through. Especially when a company has decided that it needs a Facebook web presence even though they then can't see it since they banned Facebook from the comp network.

Movies could be available as a VOD rental before DVD, Blu-ray -- for $20 to $30 each {Engadget HD}

May 24th 2010 4:25PM As Hollywood has showed us before... Cocaine is a helluva drug. What kind of blow were the execs snorting to have thought this would be a good idea?
