The Classifieds: Stonecore is hard {WoW}

Feb 2nd 2011 3:58PM Once you do know the fights, then Stonecore isn't too bad. However, finding a group willing to stick it out while you learn the fights, especially if you're the tank, not so easy. Ozz in particular requires good management by the tank.

I was lucky enough to have a great group when I first tanked heroic Stonecore. They were patient with me learning the fights and endured the wipes on Ozz while I learnt the timing of his abilities. It was a long run (about 2 hours I think) but we got there in the end, and now thanks to their patience there is another tank out there who is competent at tanking Stonecore.

Blood Sport: The PvP perspective on 4.0.6, part 2 {WoW}

Jan 18th 2011 9:10PM "in fact, a nickel is worth more than a nickel. That's right, a nickel is worth almost 7 cents right now. Science."

This just begs the question of why the USA is still producing the nickel, or the penny. Just stop using them and save the money. Works just fine for us in New Zealand where currently the lowest coin is the 10c piece.

Reader UI of the Week: Crazyate's UI {WoW}

Apr 6th 2010 4:17PM IMO a good alternative to Spartan UI would be nUI, which you can get from various places including

nUI provides a good out of the box revamp of the UI with everything packaged away nicely down the button of the screen, and has a built in HUD which many players will like using. Also has good customization settings which can be easily accessed by using the nUI Config GUI (

Insider Trader: Review of Jewelcrafting in Wrath of the Lich King {WoW}

I totally agree.

Having Daily quests (or whatever) meaning you miss out if you don't log in EVERY day and perform some task, is kinda draining. I'm all for moving to a Weekly rotation, probably with increased time required and benefit received to balance it out. This means if you have a busy week and can only play in the weekend, you don't miss out on most of your progress, but it still provides a gating mechanism to prevent power leveling.

The pros and cons of {WoW}

Oct 15th 2009 3:45PM Totally agree. With a system like this an invisible mode is mandatory for me. If I feel like some quiet time on an alt or just doing some AH trades, I don't see why everyone in my guild or on my friends list should suddenly see that I'm online and be free to bug me.

I keep the name of my AH character private for a reason, and I don't want that privacy taken away from me.
