Aug 11th 2010 8:17AM I like how being a decent human being is now considered "hand holding".
Aug 5th 2010 8:46PM I see what you're all saying and I partially agree, but it's just that where people are now able to get pretty decent gear with badges from heroics, pugs, and weekly raids, you never know who has what experience regardless of what raid they're in. I think it's this kind of attitude that contributes to people not feeling welcome in the raiding "community" and leads to frustration on both sides. Just explain the error and move on. If they're an arrogant dick about it, that's another story. But at least give people a chance to correct their error.
Aug 5th 2010 6:51PM I'm all for giving ppl the benefit of the doubt. Maye they'd been grossly misinformed.
Aug 5th 2010 6:20PM "If a healer says to you he needs the hit in order to heal, get yourself a new healer right now." Ooooor you could not be a jerk and just explain it to them.
Aug 3rd 2010 8:53AM This is a small quibble, but I find it very irritating when other girls (such as in this article and thread) describe a personal characteristic (like accessorizing and crying) and then conclude that it's "girly" or "a girl thing". Whatever there is about you is *you* thing - own your personality. Characteristics and preferences don't necessarily apply to an entire gender.
I feel the same way for assumptions about guys (including the implicit assumptions that come with calling something a "girl thing" - guys can cry, too).
May 12th 2010 6:56PM More people need to hear and apply that last sentence. I was once called a "fat ass" in whisper by a tank for asking a group to hold up a sec a pally friend complete the spider web quest in Drak'tharon ("just because your fat ass queued with the pally doesn't mean you get to make everyone help him with quests" blah blah). Except we didn't make anyone do anything - we asked the group to wait a sec and everyone but the tank was ok with it. The tank whined the entire time ("most people do these before 80", "noobs", etc). Both the pally and I have been playing since vanilla. If I *were* a noob, I doubt I'd appreciate that welcome to the game. Didn't even have the stones to call me names in party chat for all to see. Had to try to humiliate me in private. What a waste of space.
Apr 22nd 2010 11:36AM I think a player-developed patch would illustrate just how much trolls don't know what they're talking about. I mean imagine how broken it would be. That more than anything he could ever try to explain in blue text, I think, would prove GC's point.

Mar 2nd 2010 6:28PM I do fault people for waiting to see 4 "greed" rolls before rolling need - that's blatant ninjery. At least have the decency to give everyone a fair chance and say beforehand "roll need on orbs".
