Mar 26th 2012 10:59AM Yeah....I can't get any friends back who quit. They have to come on their own accord. It's so bad that I can't even casually chat about WoW features that are coming out without them immediately interrupting, "I'll never see that because I won't ever play again." Geez...I wasn't even trying to get them back. I just was making game conversation, the same way I'd chat about Skyrim or Zelda or any other game.

Mar 12th 2012 3:48PM Thing is, I feel LK had a great solution to this problem already. Allow people to buy epic gems with excess JP. That way, everyone can eventually get themselves gemmed out, but they still have to do a little work to get there.
Mar 12th 2012 10:51AM People play what they like to play. I don't think there's really much gender preference. It's pretty clear that for every one that fits, there's a contradiction.
Me personally? I prefer DPS. Melee DPS, to be specific. I learned to tank 2nd, and learned to heal last. I do sometimes like healing but I see it as a relaxing vacation away from the meters. And as far as raiding goes, I much prefer DPS. I got a heal set for my team in case of emergencies, but it's well known that I'm much happier making the health bars go down instead of up.
Mar 10th 2012 12:01PM We were having some problems too, but got some good ideas from the Vox Immortalis guide. We tweaked our approach for our group and it went much better. There's definitely some ways to save time on the lightning phase as 10 man. (Provided the jumps don't start bugging out) The ice phase sucks without a hunter or druid, but it's not impossible. It also had a different tanking strat to deal with Shattered Ice. We also used Grounding Totems to eat them.
Mar 10th 2012 11:56AM We use EPGP for our 10 mans, but we also used to be a 25 man group.
But I think it's still fair. We still have a lot of overlap on who wants what gear. Our melee is mostly plate. There's quite a bit of overlap on tokens. This way, the system is completely impersonal. And it takes out some of the luck of the draw. I know whether or not that token will be mine, unless someone is passing for some reason.
We also have free off-spec gear and can earn extra EPGP through weekly guild bank donations. Usually fish or herb mats for our flasks and feasts. The quartermaster gives out a list every week with point values and caps it so no one can go overboard.

Feb 22nd 2012 11:15PM I'd rather they fix the buggy ball in H-Zon'z before they start nerfing again. In heroic, it's far too easy to wipe when the ball decides to hop across the room and start bouncing off random crap in the room. Wiping because of wonky collision is a lot more annoying than "because we're just not good enough." We do fine when things behave as they should.
Feb 20th 2012 3:20PM Meh. Takes too much time to be in two raid guilds. My guild even has a rule against it. It's too much time commitment and too much strain. Unless both groups are extremely casual, you will be burnt out in no time.
