Oct 13th 2010 2:19PM Anyone know of a way to bind the guild interface to a hotkey? Social menu doesn't bring it up anymore and that micro menu is annoying. Hell, for that matter, any way to actually move the UI displays so my spellbook isn't covering my action bars when trying to replace abilities???
Oct 4th 2010 12:50PM Were you also the person who complained that "The Two Towers" should change its name because it was too close to the 9/11 attack? If we keep this trend going, nobody's going to be able to announce any kind of release since pretty much every single calendar date is going to fall on a Tuesday at some point.
Also, if you paid attention to circulars for electronics outlets such as Best Buy, you would notice that nearly every single new release is on Tuesdays. That this Tuesday happened to fall on December 7th is unfortunate, but it was bound to happen sooner or later.
I do understand where you're coming from since my grandfathers were both WWII vets, but taking it to this extreme is a little ridiculous.
May 27th 2010 2:22PM With the new Battle.Net ID system coming in patch 3.3.5, I was wondering if cross-realm groups would become possible? For example, I'm on Kil'Jaeden and have friends on Thunderlord. If I saw the Thunderlord people online, could I invite them to a 5-man group before queueing in the Dungeon Finder?
May 20th 2010 10:21AM I've been playing this game from the start in 2004. I remember when we got credit for lag. But I also remember that the lag and downtime was MUCH worse than anything we experience today.
We're talking about servers being down for days on end while Blizzard fixed or replaced hardware. Queues were sometimes hours long on more crowded servers. The lag experienced today is nothing like it was the first year of vanilla WoW, so there's really no reason to compensate players for it.
Also, Blizzard was never obligated to compensate people for downtime anyway. That they did so was a sign they understood customer frustration. They still do, despite perceptions to the contrary, but again, things are not nearly as bad today as they were 5.5 years ago.
Holy $#%# have I been playing that long???
Apr 12th 2010 11:13AM I was just wondering about one of the rumors floating around out there. According to a UK gaming mag, ***POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT*** Garrosh is supposed to execute Cairne Bloodhoof for treason. Is this confirmed or simply rumor-mongering?
Apr 8th 2010 2:23PM Clund, the argument that Fury warriors are at the top of the DPS heap may be true, but this is only towards the end of the expansion, after being carried through most earlier raids until T9 and T10 gear started to grant sufficient strength and stats to overcome the nerf to Titan's Grip and change to Imp Berserker Stance. We start off as the weakest of the DPS in the beginning of an expansion and become insanely overpowered at the end because of how our gear scaling works. I would prefer a buff to overall damage with some way to keep the gear scaling insanity from getting completely out of whack in the end-of-expansion phases.
Also, Meph is correct when he notes that the new extra weapon swing is a weakened version of current sword spec, which now hits for full 100% damage of a white swing. 50% damage now? No thank you.
While we're on the topic, Heroic Leap looks nice but this was promised to us before and didn't go through.
If you downrate Meph, hopefully it's for the tone of the original post, and not the substance.
P.S. - Revert Warbringer!
Mar 25th 2010 2:07PM I'm wondering what's going on with the tooltips, particulary on Wowhead. For example, they now say things like, "Increases damage by x - x" instead of a single number. Here's a link to the Imp Thunder Clap tooltip: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=12666
Is this meant to clarify things for the theorycrafters?
Feb 8th 2010 5:38PM In matters of resurrection, you need look no further than Miracle Max: "You friend here ith only MOTHTLY dead."
Jan 25th 2010 11:11AM Is there a guide out there for running the various heroics for fresh 80s? WoWWiki and Wowhead only have strats and guides for some of the instances.
Jan 5th 2010 5:22PM I just purchased an heirloom piece yesterday with the badges I've been earning in the LFG tool. My question is: why does Blizz make us go through all the badge swapping to get this stuff? Downgrade your triumph to Conquest, Conquest to Valor, Valor to Heroism. It costs the same number of badges so why not just make all the items available for Triumph or Frost?
