Nov 26th 2011 2:20PM Well, Matt, since you brought up the NDA, I have another question for you.
How do sites like Betacake work?
(For those that don't know, Betacake is a site that specializes in posting information that would break the NDA. I've always wondered why the site can't get removed by the game companies.)
Nov 4th 2011 5:16PM Personally, the first solution I thought of was to increase the base power of spells through level increases.
What if, for example, instead of Fireball's power increasing from, for example. (2000 + 2.5*SP) from 85 to 86, what if it increased by (20,000 + 1.5*SP)? Though the item levels would still scale exponentially once we hit 90, the significant numbers increase until 90 would be built in, instead of coming from stats, so they would not have to create a ~100 ilvl difference between expansions. The bosses would just be tuned for 90 characters, which 85's couldn't compete with even if they had the best gear.
It would create some awkward level disparities for 4 levels, but I think it'd feel the least "weird" to implement.
May 18th 2011 4:52PM This is one of those few times in my life where living in Atlanta comes in handy. :)
I still haven't visited the World of Coke, but those Coke Machines are all over the place down here. (There's one in the Moe's right by my school, and not only is it delicious, it is a TON of fun to use.)
I'd offer to send you some Orange Coke, Alex, but then everyone else here would want me to send them some too. :P
Apr 11th 2011 7:20PM Question for the Queue:
What exactly are worgs, and how are they different from wolves?
Are the druids stuck in wolf form, the babies of druids stuck in wolf form, or Blizzard's version of an emo wolf?
Jan 24th 2011 11:09PM ...?
They were the second guild to REACH Sinestra (For the Horde got World-first Chogall), but they were indeed the first guild to down her and the first guild to down Heroic Al'Akir as well.
Jan 15th 2011 2:08PM The first thing I would check is your graphics card.
I had this problem in seemingly "random" places of the world as well at the start of Cata. When I contacted Blizzard, a GM told me that they had redone so many graphics in Cata that many lower level graphics cards are no longer supported...and will crash your entire computer if you attempt to enter their zones.
You can easily learn how to find what graphics card you have by searching Google, and the list of cards Blizzard no longer supports can be found right here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=21085
Dec 22nd 2010 12:27AM I quit WoW last year, but I'm getting back into it this year. I'm receiving the expansion for Christmas.
My question is, do I have to patch all the way up to the Shattering before I install Cataclysm, or can I just install all four disks and start playing?

The little green circle resto druids create isn't an active spell. It's a side effect of the spell Swiftmend if the resto druids are specced into http://www.wowhead.com/spell=81275 .
A lot of the time, a resto druid that needs a large, quick heal while on the move (i.e. at the start of the pull) will cast Rejuv + Swiftmend.
The circle is just a side effect of keeping you alive. :)
On topic.... you can tell if a class needs a buff when healing priests are booted from random groups before the dungeon even starts simply because of their class.
Oct 21st 2009 7:30PM I personally began a druid about half-way through BC, and didn't hit 80 until about a month into Wrath. I had tanked as feral my entire leveling career, and loved it, so when I hit 80 I started tanking Naxx for my fairly casual guild as well.
I loved tanking in Naxx, because it felt like I had a PURPOSE. I had gear that was specially designed for me that I could hope and pray to drop, and feel fulfilled when it did and immediately went to me, no questions asked (Origin of Nightmares, Hood of the Exodus, etc). Also, I felt useful, because I had the highest health of all the other tanks in the guild, as well as the best-single target threat. I got to maintank all the way through Naxx 10 and 25, and loved the entire experience.
Then 3.2 hit.
To make a long story short, I picked resto as my dual-spec, and 3 months after I started healing, it's now my main spec.
For me personally, the main reasons I chose to switch my mainspec was a lack of a "niche" and the amount of gear competition. Bears can have more health than any other tank in the game, yes, but that requires you to be geared up first in the top levels of gear to keep up with the other plate classes. It's impossible for me to upgrade any of my feral pieces, because I'm fighting with at least 5 DPS for the same upgrade.
The combination of losing my one true advantage over other tanks and especially the loss of gear that I know was made for me that I didn't have to fight half the raid for made me quit tanking. I truly enjoy healing, and the fact the only slot I have to fight others for in a raid is my weapon slot is just another bonus.
I will always keep my tanking spec, though, in the hopes that Blizz will one day return bears to their former glory.
TL;DR: *Bring back tanking leather, pass it on!*
