Jan 28th 2010 3:01AM My thoughts, 'cos, everyone cares ya know?
Death Knight : Looks okay but...boring, like every other Death Knight set that's around with more spikes and more skulls.
Druid : Looks to be barely an improvement over S7, the colour is weird, and I still can't learn to like the shape of the shoulders. Helm is still terrible but at least they glow more now.
Hunter : Quite possible one of the worst high-level sets in game, looks like Northrend blues, except, there's Northrend blues that look better.
Mage : Colours and general design is pretty damn good, loving the shoulders. Helm really lets it down though, primarily due to the odd floaty bits.
Paladin : Well at least they look "holy" now. It's a bit of an odd colour scheme but except for the poor helmet it's not bad, will look better on a not-so-fugly-race.
Priest : Terrible. Competing with Hunter for word S8 set, boring boring boring in both design and colour scheme.
Shaman : Worse than Priest, maybe not quite as bad as Hunter. Ugly, the robe is boring, the whole colour scheme is boring, generally the entire thing is uninspired. (Ew helm is ew)
Rogue : Despite not being 100% "Roguey", it's growing on me. Helmet is pretty damn cool which is seemingly rare for helms, and though the shoulders might be a bit...tall, not bad.
Warlock : Awesome. AWESOME. Except it's the colour of mustard.
Warrior : Love it. It's just, pure, lack of imagination. Essentially "We heard you like spikes so we put spikes with your spikes so you can spike while you spike". That said, I do love the style.
Top 3 : Rogue, Warlock, Warrior
Bottom 3 : Hunter, Shaman, Priest
Jan 25th 2010 4:34AM I don't understand the comment about Beast-Cleave dominating.
RMP won the majority of high profile tournaments and was by FAR the most prominent team in the higher echelons of arena.
Jan 9th 2010 3:03PM Sigh.
Having re-read, yes, I miscomprehended the post and the reply. I assumed a mistake may have been made, now would you kindly tell me how you reached the assumption I assumed Alex to be an idiot? At no point did I make any comment even slightly close to that, perhaps you should calm down before jumping down my throat for making a mistake.
Now you're the idiot.
Jan 9th 2010 11:43AM Wouldn't really make sense to say that the upgrades for Byrntoll are "Byrntoll and Heroic Byrntoll" - But I'll take your word for it.
Jan 9th 2010 9:04AM "Shadowmourne and it's own heroic counterpart" - Since when is there a heroic version of Shadowmourne? I'm going to assume you mean Shadow's Edge which is the next (possible) upgrade, then again, that doesn't have a heroic version either.
Chances are, there will be a better two handed axe from the Lich King too.
Jan 5th 2010 9:34PM I have to agree, admittedly he was brought to my attention via Jurassic Park (One of my all time favourite films), which he did fantastically well, but, he's a very well known actor and to sum him up like this is a bit far.
Dec 9th 2009 10:57PM Not to be harsh but you did nothing in this post that I couldn't have done myself, for my rogue, by spending 2 minutes looking at Atlas Loot without all the surrounding text.
Dec 9th 2009 5:22PM I'd generally be going for 4 Piece T10 before you do anything else, simply because you -have- to get the Emblem of Frost T10 if you want to get the higher ilevel versions, granted that won't be an issue for a bit of time but with so many emblems required it's probaly a good idea.
T10 will not be replaced, it may be temporarily banked but you'll assumedly end up going back to it. The best advice I'd give is do the research now on what the best 4 Tier pieces are compared to the best off-set piece and start building the set up that way.
Alternatively, pick up the two cheap pieces of T10 first and then use either the Legs, Chest or Head for your off-set.
Dec 5th 2009 6:01PM 1) The use of "Flask of the North" in the Arenas is not "awesome" it's necessary to ensure that Alchemy is balanced with the other proffessions.
2) Alchemy is just as good as any other proffession and probaly the best in terms of the money you'll save if you're a serious raider. If you're not flasking at all, you should be using Flask of the North, ergo matching the benefit of the other proffessions.
3) Generally speaking, every crafting proffession is equal except a couple for a couple of classes, the only reason Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing win out is due to the added flexibility and nothing else. IE : That AP gain from Alchemy is always AP, whereas I could go for ArP or Agility with BS or JC
