The Care and Feeding of Warriors: Too soon? {WoW}

Oct 15th 2010 9:47AM I've given up tanking on my warrior intil the agro issues are fixed. Heroics have become a exercise in button mashing, taunting, frurious, frustration. I haven't tried tanking on my bear yet, but my dk and pally tanks had a MUCH easier time gaining and holding adds, as long as the dps didn't open up on them before I got a hit in. On my warrior I had to move my taunts to an easier to reach keybind as I've found I've been pressing them on cooldown.

Breakfast Topic: Let's talk about fun ways to die {WoW}

Breakfast Topic: Holiday boss in the dungeon finder is the best thing ever {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2010 10:49AM You know I noticed that was much more difficult this year aswell. I even adjusted my video settings to max shadows etc, but when you throw it up, the shadow disappears for a while and you have to kinda...guess where it's going to land. What's up with that?

Breakfast Topic: Holiday boss in the dungeon finder is the best thing ever {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2010 10:44AM The holiday even couldn't have arrived at a more perfect time. My mage alt dinged 80 on Monday night, and just a few runs later I had my 2nd bis cloak and hopefully soon will have my 2nd bis staff. (Obviously by BIS I mean only gear available without raiding.) Now all my alts can chain run to finally get rid of their pvp or lv 200 cloaks! Now if only that silly pet would drop. Any word on what the drop rates look like? With the limitation of only one bag per day I'd like to hope the drop rate has been significantly improved, or the pet collector in me may rage out.

Cataclysm Talent Preview: Restoration shaman {WoW}

Jun 10th 2010 9:41AM I have to expect the trees to get shaken up a lot, as playing around with the talent Calculator on MMO-Champ, I'm having a really hard time finding more than 14 or 15 points in any tree other than resto. With a lack of supporting spells in other trees, I don't see any way to avoid putting 60+ points into the primary tree. It seems to be the case for Druids aswell.

Scattered Shots: Will Cataclysm lower our global cooldown? {WoW}

Jun 7th 2010 7:21PM I wouldn't worry about it too much, Bliz has said even the top end gear from LK will be replaced rather quickly, so even if all armor pen gems are turned to hit, you'll be swapping out the gear fast enough it's not worth spending the cash to re-gem when the expansion hits.

Scattered Shots: Will Cataclysm lower our global cooldown? {WoW}

Jun 7th 2010 7:17PM All I want for Cata is spirit beasts for all specs and the relic type ammo that Frost suggested a few months ago. Sadly neither of these dreams will ever come true. :( I guess I'll have to settle for haste not being worthless and Armor Pen not being the king of the world. (It really sucks passing up higher level gear because it has globs of haste on it instead of armor pen.)

Encrypted Text: Vanish fix in the alpha {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2010 1:02PM I could see if being a problem if flare didn't have a travel time. I also would be worried about a hunter dropping a flare, and an ice trap to defend against a rogue attack, then the rogue pulling the vanish while stealthed trick you mentioned and walking through the flare and the ice trap, to still get an opener on the hunter. There has to be some counter to stealth to prevent it from being overpowered. The biggest problem with pally bubbles is the counter to bubble is too limited. If a rogue can guarantee an opener every minute, or even two openers (Stealth, opener, stun, vanish, opener, finisher), you're creating a situation where a rogue can singlehandedly defeat any opponent without that opponent having ANY sort of defense, and that's only fun for the rogue. Stun locks aren’t fun, and Blizzard has been moving away from them as they should. I believe they even mentioned in the class previews they want to move away from stun locks and give rogues more of an ability to go toe – to –toe with opposing classes.

Armory Data Mining updated for patch 3.3.3 {WoW}

May 19th 2010 7:19PM Correct, ideally you should be able to draw a strait line from the lower left hand corner to the upper right corner, and the further off the line the class, the less imbalanced they become. How far high or low, or left or right a class is doesn't really matter as much, and in fact no dot should be too close to each other on that line as that's when homogenization becomes a problem. According to the data presented currently, there is still some balancing to do, however I'd be really interested in seeing the data Blizzard has and uses to help make these determinations, and it's really a total shame things like this aren't published by them.

Armory Data Mining updated for patch 3.3.3 {WoW}

May 19th 2010 2:13PM Seems to me that by reading this Pallies are a bit too hard to kill, which I think sums up my hatred for Bubble quite nicely.
