Breakfast Topic: 'Every female WoW player has healed at least once' {WoW}

Mar 12th 2012 11:29AM Female here playing a main healer with 3 healer alts. God I hate fitting stereotypes.
Surely this can't be the case, right??
Females in my guild: Boomkin (with a healing offspec and healing alt), Resto Druid, 2 Resto Shammies, Holy Pally (ahhhhh!!)
Wait! Other female guildies are: Warrior Tank (with a druid tank alt), Rogue (no healing alts), ret pally (no healing OS or alts), 2 mages (no healing alts)... so ha!! :)

Guilds recruiting this week {WoW}

Mar 9th 2012 5:53PM Guild: Masochistic Tendencies
Server: Uldaman
Faction: Horde
Roles needed: Skilled DPS of any flavor
is an adult 10 man raiding guild. We were founded in December 2009. We are a level 25 guild and enjoy all perks therein. We are a very active social bunch of team-oriented goofballs who welcome like minded players. We run 3 10 man raid groups 2 nights/week: Wed/Thurs 9:30-11:30pm EST, Fri/Sat 9:30-Midnight EST, Sun/Mon 9:30-11:30pm EST. 8/8N, 1/8H.

Breakfast Topic: Been waiting an excrutiatingly long time for this {WoW}

Mar 8th 2012 11:41AM Baron Rivendare's mount.
I farmed Strath every day on my paladin, brought in guildie alts and power leveled them in my quest for that rassafriggin pony. Those alts went a total of 50 levels in my Strath runs. Finally on the 131'st kill (that's been tracked since beginning of Wrath), it dropped.

Officers' Quarters: Mailbox roundup 4 -- raid leaders {WoW}

Oct 17th 2011 5:44PM Wow - I had almost the exact same thing happen to me as Worried (#2) did. Had a raid leader step up when nobody else would, great guy, knows his stuff but the style was different from what a lot of members were used to. Luckily I run multiple raid groups with a different leader in each group - so the "haters" were eventually placed in another group. I was just shocked as well at the feedback I got from those players.

Breakfast Topic: What's the longest you've ever farmed for something? {WoW}

Sep 30th 2011 11:22AM Rivendare's mount. Got it on the 131st kill. 3 guildie alts that got a free run-through leveled a combined 60 levels. Good grief.

The Queue: Helena Beat {WoW}

Sep 30th 2011 11:17AM Q for the Q. We've seen where Epic gems are coming from, but where do JC'ers get the cuts? I took a peek on the PTR and there weren't any available from the token vendor. Are these going to be world drops? Retarded faction grinds through raids (my JC doesn't raid) or yet another set of eye-gouging dailies like IQD?

New scam tries to give you a free Celestial Steed {WoW}

Jul 13th 2010 1:12PM I just got this one in my email that's tied to my WOW account. It's a lot more sophisticated than the beta invites in broken english. I still knew better because:

1. I already had my sparkle pony!
2. The last 4 digits didn't match any of my credit cards
3. I *always* hover over links in emails pretending to be blizzard.

But this is especially convincing because it mimics a confirmation of an order, and some of the other telltale signs (messed up grammar, spelling, etc) weren't there.

AddOn Spotlight: Castbars {WoW}

Mar 11th 2010 3:55PM Of course I didn't read all the comments before posting lmao.. but I'm glad Aykwa confirms my insanity in using a healing addon for tanking :D

AddOn Spotlight: Castbars {WoW}

Mar 11th 2010 3:51PM Prot Pally -

Believe it or not, grid is useful while tanking, especially if you're a new tank. Some may scratch their head and say "huh?" I'm a holy pally, but tank offspec. I leave grid up while tanking and I can see right away if someone pulls aggro - and more importantly - WHO pulled aggro. I throw my righteous defense taunt at them quicker (or even a hand of protection or salvation) and therefore can (usually) prevent them from getting squashed. Pallies are pretty sick when it comes to holding threat, but there are some occsaions where the dps is just a tad sicker.
