BlizzCon 2011: Screenshots of the new Pandaria talents for all classes {WoW}

Oct 21st 2011 8:02PM It isn't meant to give us more choice, it is meant to streamline the system. So they can balance things consistently.

Blizzard introduces tradable "Guardian Cub" companion pet, purchasable through the Blizzard Store {WoW}

Oct 10th 2011 8:06PM First, I would like to say I love this game, and have had a great time over the years supporting and enjoying it. But I feel like people are missing the point in the anger over the new pet to be sold.

This game started with set lines, as to what was acceptable, and what was not. Blizzard was consistent with its message to the player base. "We will not sell power, nor Gold. If you pay your subscription fee, you are on a level playing field with everyone else." This was great, because it showed a great level of respect to the player base. And in return, we flocked to a great game, and made it the success it is today.

However over time this has changed, things that Blizzard had been so sure about, (PVE to PVP transfers, Not selling leveling speed, Not putting items in the game that can be bought for real life money, and then sold for gold, not adding expensive features like race/faction change, respecting that if someone pays a subscription fee, all of the content should be available to them if they are willing to work for it.)

Now hear me out. I'm not saying Blizzard is evil because of RAF, or the Pet Store, or the Mobile AH. I'm saying that the level of respect Blizzard showed the customer base has changed over the years. Not necessarily in a bad way, take for example Authenticators, they are a great and helpful addition to the game. But when other games, like Rift don't sell Gold, Leveling speed, or Pets/Mounts for real life money, and even provide services like Realm Transfers for free. It makes me wonder why Blizzard is taking its player base for granted.

I love your games Blizzard, and I am proud to have been a long time supporter of a company I feel produces a quality product. But I for one am moving on, to a producer who respects its consumer base more, and sticks to what it has originally laid out as an acceptable business model. I'll be playing Rift until things go back to how they used to be, hopefully they will sooner then later. Until then.

Goodnight And Good luck, its been a fun few years.

Patch 3.3 PTR: Shadow Word: Pain not affected by haste {WoW}

Nov 16th 2009 11:04PM @Chrimp

1, sorry, but even with Glyphed and Imp Renew (witch I use) Its is terribly mana inefficient, Compared to Riptide, Rejuv, or Even Regrowth (not really a hot, but it shares the initial burst mechanic)

2. For Empowered renew to proc SoL, it has to be the initial cast of renew, not the HoT. For the amount of mana renew costs, a PoM or CoH hit would be WAY more mana efficient for procing SoL, and this doesnt change the blatant expensiveness of Renew.

4. If you are beating Similarly geared Druids and Pallys in healing, They suck.
Look at any WMO/WWS/WOL Parse from ToGC, Pallys and druids are ALWAYS in the top spots for effective healing done.

Compareing Chainheal with CoH is flawed, CoH is on a 6 second CD, is mana efficient, and is not a true AoE heal, it goes to who need it most, (smartheal) I was comparing PoH (much more similar to CH) and my argument was that when CoH and PoM are off CD the only real AoE healing we have is PoH, witch sadly blows. Not To mention, reaching the levels of haste you do in ToC, A shaman can pump out ALOT MORE AoE healing with CH then with PoH in heavy damage fights, and so can a druid.

And Any priest not fully utilizing SoL needs to get powerauras for a warning when it procs, its always first

What I find is in a short fight, I can outheal everyone, Spaming Renew on the raid and using CoH and PoM on every CD WILL put out good numbers, but you will go OOM way to fast for this to be a viable option.

TLDR- The Only way for priests to come close to the throughput the other healing classes use, would make them go OOM way to fast for it to be effective, even in HIGH levels of gear, because the spells needed to soak up the damage when CoH and PoM are on CD (Renew and PoH) are Insanely mana ineficent, so the people who think Priests are on par with the other healers PROBLY HAVNT BEEN IN THE CONTENT WERE PoM and CoH CAN'T HANDLE THE MAJORITY OF YOUR HEALING DONE.
