Apr 10th 2010 1:28PM I kinda object to Fire and Frost ward being removed, unless they replace it with something equivalent. There've been plenty of raid fights where I make sure to pop up an appropriate ward to give my mage (and the healers!) a little more survival breathing room. For example, in ICC, with all the frost damage being slung around.
Apr 5th 2010 2:38PM I'd probably wipe my guild raids quite a bit if I didn't have DBM running. To be able to run in a raid smoothly enough to be functional, I have to turn all of my graphic and effect settings down low. It's hard to realize you're standing in the fire when all that indicates it is a few wispy particle effects at your feet. Effects that might not show up immediately due to computer lag. DBM helps me react more quickly.
However, I do have computer upgrades slated for the future. I might be saying goodbye to DBM around then (or maybe not, considering I'm rolling a healer to help with the occasional guild run).
Mar 25th 2010 3:43PM The Infinite Dragonflight could be perfect examples of villains with benevolent goals - who we would otherwise get along famously with - instead turned into our antagonists due to their methods.
A thought. With all the messing about with time, Blizzard could easily point to the struggles between the Infinite and Bronze dragonflights as the reason why some of the old lore doesn't match up with the current. We could be existing in an alternate timeline.
In that case, it's not a wizard who did it, it's dragons. it's always been dragons. And it will always be dragons. ;)
Jan 20th 2010 9:10AM It's far too early in the morning for me. When I saw the article's title and pic, the first thought I had was "Azeroth's movie has a giant lamb rampaging across Outlands?" before my brain kicked in.
Oct 29th 2009 4:23AM The Mauriac / Alleyra / Jeff drama tidbit leads up to a good read, once you shift through it and related threads.
The TL;DR version is that Mauriac ninja's Insurgency's guildbank, leading to the collapse of that guild (and apparently he caused a ton more drama when he came back on alts, with other guilds).
Later on, one of Mauriac's former guildmates was contacted by someone following an online data trail, investigating Mauriac's rl stealing of both a charity event's contributions and a small anime con's funds. It was then found that Mauriac had gone back to his old server, and had either rolled up or transferred to a horde alt called Alleyra, who was already in a fairly well-known guild.
Mauriac has yet to be caught for his charity fund theft, since authorities were more interested in catching his accomplice.
