Apr 7th 2010 4:42PM Let's put this into a useful scenario:
You are an Affliction and are doing a raid. On the pull you LifeTap->DoT->DoT->Unstable Affliction->Immolate->Haunt->Kitchen Sink (not really careing about order, this is an example...) then spam your filler-o-choice. Now your UA and Immolate are about to expire but you are now standing in crap. What do you do? You have to cast both UA and Immolate while standing still but they are ending sooner and you are still standing in fire... NOPE! You, being "smarter then the average mage" hit the button for Fel Flame >>as>and
Mar 26th 2010 3:16PM Darn mages and their ports, or is the wizards that did it?
I got sucked in after launch of WoTLK. Ok, I jumped but whatever. I still enjoy this game so much I broke my tradition of only taking hand-me-down computers and went out and got a new laptop to play WoW on anywhere anytime. Nothing beats seeing everything in High or Ultra effects settings for the first time. It's a hole new game to me seeing the snow in PoS or watching it rain in CoS and finding other little things like that.
/me hugs Blizzard
/me hugs WoW.com for helping me be one step over noob from everyone else.

Mar 18th 2010 7:05PM My rogue is currently level 12 and currently my AH/banker guy but I have been playing a feral druid and just the other day had some fun. And I hate BG's because I can not keep up with all that is going on at once unless I am either A) Healing; B) Ranged just casting spells at _EVERYTHING_ that is target-able.
Was the druid in Dustwallow Marsh just north of Theramore Isle and found a flagged Horde rogue, probably questing too. I was on my slow mount and I finished my quests and paid no real attention to the rogue to not get her guard up other then another player was in the area. Couple minutes go by, see her off a little bit in the distance paying no attention to me. I Prowl up behind her and did the Pounce/Ravage combo. Once the stun wore of she spun and blinded me moved off and bandaged. Once her bandage finished channeling, my stun wore off and we start exchanging the sharp end of pointy devices back and forth a couple swings then she vanished and ran off. I searched both in stealth and not but did not find her.
Point of the story, now I know why you guys love ambushing people, because you can. Having a Ret Paladin and Warlock, I know what it is like on the pointed end of those daggers, but never been on the handle grip side. Now that I have taste for it, may have to rethink my leveling option(s) as currently just questing with heirlooms and doing the RDF (tank/heals) option once to twice a night.
Mar 16th 2010 1:58PM I was in fear last night when I got it while in LFG as Healer. I have no problems tanking or DPS'g that place, it is just when I have to heal. When I get it with my tank and wife healing, we do just fine but may have to muscle through it cause a DPS stood in line of sight and healer has strict orders to not heal until I pull.
If you have slowness issues with your back in the corner, spin your camera around so your camera faces the front of your toon, should resolve the lag/slowness. Just remember to _not_ "left & right click" or your toon with do a 180 spin.
Is the problem with the other players that everyone always complains about or is the problem with the LFG tool that puts people with epic gear and fresh lvl80 toons together so the fresh lvl80 do not "learn" as some of us did? I must admit I did not start until Wrath but I did all the instances in Rare/Quest gear so I know what it is like doing H-HoS in ilvl200 or less gear. Heck, I still read about H-Wrath fights to stay on top of them incase they are "upgraded" or we are having a bad night and wiping in H-Nexus (it has happened several times with guild runs in average ilvl226 gear). The LFG tool needs to be modified so it does not put 4-5k DPS with a fresh lvl80 tank/healer ever unless they party up first. Could the LFG tool have some kind of "boot camp"? Some of the skills these other players will need for raids they are not learning and it will affect the other 9/24 players who are trying to progress. Some skills that come to mind are "do not stand in fire/void zones." or "let the tank build aggro before engaging" (guilty of this myself) or my personal favorite "always attack the tanks target".
Mar 5th 2010 4:46PM "They make gear upgrades seem less exciting because all you get from higher levels of gear is more spam to jam into the can, i.e. more health."
/me bows before Mr. Rossi
This is why, despite not having a level capped warrior myself, I love reading your posts and listening to Wow Insider show!
Feb 25th 2010 8:49PM You my friend are who I practice healing on because we are in the same boat. If I BG in DPS gear, I die when I 1v1 ANY other class. Can not figure that one out. Probably why I stay on a PVE server and do WG every now and then. So I switch to healing in BG's and try to stand next to another caster so if a rogue gets me, the caster can do something to them for me to get away and heal. :)
Feb 19th 2010 8:53PM Finally, my /yell "WTB Skip" has been heard. What about the first boss in UP? "WTB Skip" there as well.
Feb 11th 2010 6:10PM Tell that to your (future) virtually challenged, green skinned, comrades that statement while they are invading Azshara or after they have mined/deforested the area for "the best deals in town". Or what about the big green muscle heads (AKA: Orcs) setting up a camp in Darkshore because of the destruction of Auberdine pushing the Night Elves north? I can see how the camp was setup:
Orc #1: Hey, this looks pretty don't it?
Orc #2: What does pretty mean?
Blood Elf: Shut up and start cutting down trees.
Orc #1 & #2: For the Horde!
Blood Elf: *Pulls out mirror to stair at self*
Personally, Alliance taking over a city to the north would make things easier for Worgens because otherwise they need to do a modified "Night Elf run to IF" to get to SW before patch 3.0 with the harbor changes. With Horde taking over Azshara for a starting (10-20) zone, makes sense.
Here is a thought, Blizz stated that Horde-Alliance relationships are falling apart and a new Shat/Dalaran would not be "built". Maybe this will be the new Lag-aran? Or, maybe I should have just left that thought laying on the grass out back where I found it...
Feb 11th 2010 2:37PM Not sure which patch it was, 3.2.x or 3.3, but warlocks start out with the imp now. No longer do you have to do the quest for the book.
Paladins are no fun until 20 when you get Consecration. Mages are no fun until 20 when you get teleport but then stink again until 40 when you get Ice Barrier. Warlocks, they no fun until 50 when you get Summon Felguard... These are all personal preferences though!
I really do not like creating alts any more now that I have four lvl80's. Questing stinks, personal preference mostly, farming mats (ore, cloth, herbs) does not bother me because when I farm mats I am waiting in queue for a random.
Started a warrior last night and was sad that they do not start out with charge. At low lvl's, that is the best thing for a warrior. ;( Maybe I should have rolled a druid instead but I am waiting for Cat to have a Worgen druid with every heirloom available for feral. That will be toon #10 on my current realm. That will make #5 of the toons i enjoy playing at max level, and then I will have less time then I do now when I get to play... Now it is, login, queue up, farm on that toon for mats, or clear bags/mail. Finish random, logout, switch, rinse-repeat.
