Mar 19th 2012 11:21PM Well now that the day is basically over, I just want to say thanks to the WoW Insider team for doing a great job getting all of this info out to us, particularly Mike and Alex.
So thanks! =3
Mar 19th 2012 7:29PM "doesn't fit the theme of the expansion"
But the theme of the expansion is supposed to be war, why we fight, striving for balance, etc. I'd say it fits quite well. We bring war to Pandaria, learn from the pandaren, and all of that follows us home and we decide Garrosh the warmonger needs to go.
Mar 19th 2012 7:24PM Yeah, true, sorry. I guess I got a little overzealous. I just really despise that part of the game and the missed opportunities with the lore.
I don't know how I forgot about what he said in response by the time I posted that actually. I was glad to hear it.
*feels like a jerk*
Mar 19th 2012 7:03PM "What's important to me is making sure that our external books and stories are tied into our game heavily, that there's a tighter connection there. That's my main goal."
I don't like his dismissal of the problems with Uldum, but this makes me very, very pleased with him. Let's hope he does make a large impact. :D
Mar 19th 2012 7:01PM Yeah, I agree the Jones part of Uldum was awful, but you should still read the rest of the interview. =\
Mar 19th 2012 4:27PM I think it's ok to spread it around a bit. The nelves also have a lot of Greek influence, I believe. I've always loved night elf culture for the unique combination of those two elements.
Mar 19th 2012 4:24PM Uhh, that was in response to Alex in response to my comment.....
This is actually the first time the wonky comment system has slighted me!
Mar 19th 2012 4:23PM "As a further note, "silly" does not necessarily need to be a negative description. Silly is fun, it just needs enough non-silly to counteract it. Mists seems to be achieving that balance so far."
Totally agree. *thinks back fondly to Chen in WCIII*
And it does seem Blizzard is adding an appropriate amount of "non-silly" to counteract it, thankfully. Honestly I was a bit skeptical at first, during Blizzcon, but I quickly warmed up to the idea and am now unhealthily excited. =P
Mar 19th 2012 4:17PM Ah, ok. I guess I may have misinterpreted what I heard about your thoughts previously, not that it matters. I'm totally fine with differing opinions and even if you did have a negative outlook on MoP I know your opinion would be respectable. I was just curious. Glad to have that cleared up, thanks!
Mar 19th 2012 3:57PM So, Mr. Ziebart, have your feelings toward this expansion changed yet? I am curious.
