Apr 18th 2010 2:17PM Jeez, when I wrote that comment I was in doubt wether or not to write the remarks about gnomes with pink ponytails and the bad DK tanks, because it wouldn't be fair to the easygoing gnomes and the good DKs. Not for one moment did I think that "surplus of males" would annoy someone.
On my server I see more males than females. When I run random heroics the male/female ratio is most often 4/1 or 3/2. That is why I think there is a "surplus of males". Your experience is obviously different and I'm sorry to have offended you by using mine as a reference in my post.
Is one of your characters a gnome with pink ponytails by any chance?

- gank, duel, play arena
- do badly designed achievements (I'm looking at you School of Hard Knocks)
- roll a character on a pvp or a rp server
- roll a male character (I'm a woman, why should I add to the male surplus of wow?)
- roll an undead
- be unkind and/or impatient ingame (but I might shout a bit at my screen)
- install gearscore
- raid endgame content. I'm unfortunately not good enough for that
- pay RL money for ingame stuff (the Celestial Mount is beautiful, but no)
I try to avoid:
- escort quests
- vehicle combat
- any zones that are mainly red or purple (my eyes burn)
- gnomes with pink ponytails. They tend to be impatient for some reason
- death knight tanks. A few are good, most are bad

Once my orphan has seen Ymiron die there'll only be School of Hard Knocks between me and the 310% protodrake. But unless they change it I'm not going to do it. Better go on 310%-mountless than try for that madness of an achievement. It screws up battlegrounds and makes them hell for both the regular pvpers and for the rest of us. Blizzard did a bad job on that one.

Mar 27th 2010 9:55AM I've gotten nearly all old world achievements done on my main. Only Blackwing Lair and Ahn'Quiraj Temple left.
I've reserved names for a worgen druid and a dwarven rogue. And gotten heirlooms for them.
I'm levelling up a gnome mage and a nelf hunter to supplement my draenei priest and human paladin professionwise.
And I'm stockpiling gold.

Mar 18th 2010 1:39PM As a paladin I make sure to always buff the 30 min version on everyone in a heroic. It doesn't take long and the cost of the reagent is ridiculously low. Maybe it's not exactly needed, but if it makes the run slightly easier for the group, why shouldn't I do it? Also it's just... polite.
It's been a long time since I saw a fish feast in a heroic, but back in the days when they were challenging (heroics, not fish feasts), I've been known to bring out one or two myself. Sure they're expensive, but so is my repair bill and my time.
On the other hand I absolutely do not notice if my co-gamers forget or just plain don't want to buff in a heroic. Whatever lightbulb other people got in their brains to tell them priest=white square top screen, I either don't have or it isn't working.

Cataclysm: Stylish overcloaks! {WoW}
Feb 24th 2010 4:16AM Oh noes. This means I'll have to make a choice between looking at my beautiful Tabard of the Achiever and a beautiful cloak. Or that I'll have to make a rotation between them.
I already have rotation for my flying mount (3 day rotation with a day each for green proto-drake, armored snowy gryphon and turbo-charged flying machine), for my riding mount (mekgineer's chopper in cities, white war talbuk everywhere else) and for pets (Pengu in cities and when fishing, random pet everywhere else).
So many choices to make :-)

Feb 23rd 2010 9:55AM I regret not starting wow earlier. Ex-hubby had access to the original beta and offered to get me in as well, but nooooooo... I wasn't going to get into a social game.
3 years later new-hubby started pestering me to start wow. It took him 6 months to convince me (pulling the "you don't have to talk to other players"-card several times) - and in the end I gave in. And I've been hooked ever since. Working on my 40th exalted rep now - damn it would have been nice not having to cram all that gaming into 1½ years instead of 5.
