BlizzCon 2010: Man breaks leg in dance contest {WoW}

Oct 23rd 2010 4:46PM Set sail for "nerds can't dance" flood in 3.. 2... 1...

The Queue: The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! {WoW}

Oct 3rd 2010 2:28PM Thank you! Every search I've done on this for the past week has trudged up info about either the new heirlooms or the fact that heirlooms won't work past 80, but I haven't been able to get concrete info about the current heirlooms.

The Queue: The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! {WoW}

Oct 3rd 2010 1:08PM Can you still buy WotLK heirlooms (chest, shoulders, weapons) after Cataclysm, and if so, with what? Do you need to be level 85 to purchase them? Trying to find out if I need to grind out Frost/Triumph emblems to convert to Heroisms so that I can buy the heirlooms I need for some alts before they become unavailable to me. (Not in a guild that I expect to level quickly enough to unlock the new heirlooms either.)

The Queue: Yes, kittens again {WoW}

Oct 2nd 2010 4:44PM Every search I do on this just goes round and round in circles. I want to know if WotLK heirlooms will still be available after Cata hits, and what their costs will be. I know that there will be two new types of heirlooms coming out, but I'm not in many guilds beyond a couple vanity Please-Stop-Inviting me guilds, so I'm interested only in how to purchase our current chest/shoulder/weapon heirlooms. Once we lose our Frost/Triumphs/Heroism (etc.) badges, I'm hoping we'll still be able to buy them with Justice points, but I'd like to get confirmation. Otherwise I'm going to have to go on a grindingfest to get all the heirlooms I'll want before they go poof.

Sunday Morning Funnies: Queues {WoW}

Jun 6th 2010 12:58PM I'm supposing it's a nod to Peanuts, but I could be missing some more subtle reference.

Arcane Brilliance: Macros for mages {WoW}

Mar 27th 2010 4:44PM Just an FYI that save me a lot of heartache when I tracked it down. Your main nuke macro goes like this:
/cast Icy Veins
......
/cast Arcane Blast
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

I'd *highly* recommend putting the /run command *before* the Arcane Blast:
/cast Icy Veins
.......
/run UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/cast Arcane Blast

This way you won't be sitting there spamming a key and wondering why you're casting because you're either out of range, the target has died or your not facing the right direction anymore.

Patch 3.3: Fishing pool guarantees and what it means for the market {WoW}

Dec 1st 2009 6:27PM You can catch whatever you want if you can make it to the fishing pools, but yeah, once you hit 80 you'll never need to level fishing again unless you want the coins in Dal.

Officers' Quarters: More loot-rolling shenanigans {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2009 3:39PM I agree with that, they shouldn't roll need, unless prior arrangements are made - I'd drop out of any group with someone needing on something they cannot use. All's fair in greed rolls if you ask me, every member of the group is fully allowed to greed on whatever drops no matter if they can use it or not.

Officers' Quarters: More loot-rolling shenanigans {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2009 2:01PM *sigh* Reply-fail.

Officers' Quarters: More loot-rolling shenanigans {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2009 2:01PM No, your chances to get the loot never changed - it was always 1:4 against not getting the item, no matter who actually received it. Now, as soon as a warrior or a DK needed on a piece of cloth I'd certainly call them out on it, I don't expect anyone else to need on anything that they themselves can't use. But if they win out on a greed roll and want to give it to someone else eligible, disenchant it, sell it or throw it away, go for it, they won the roll.
