Jul 20th 2010 8:26PM Mmm... tastes like delicious nostalgia. But, there was a lot more history behind it than I was originally aware of. You learn something new everyday!

I've been playing on the US-RPPvE server Sentinels since it opened. I had been an avid RPer years ago—running an RP guild, taking part of storylines and just developing my character and having fun with it, but even insecurities about "am I doing it right?" can even break down an active RPer and slow things down. It's one of the big reasons why I cannot for the life of me break into Horde RP, even though I've had a character idea for an orc shaman in my head for years after reading through Rise of the Horde. No one wants to be ostracized and mocked for doing it wrong. And it's sad that there are places out there that encourage that sort of behavior.
Personally, I think there are a lot of issues with trying to RP in WoW. Maybe I'm being idealistic, but that's one attitude that can be changed if people can just stop being dicks to each other and help each other.
Nov 2nd 2009 5:21PM Thank you for the mention on Compass Studies! Truth be told, I was a bit mind-blown when I found out my blog got mentioned here. Nonethless, I'm extremely grateful. (I am female for the record. :P)
Also, happy anniversary!
