Oct 24th 2008 9:18PM The quality of the show was crap. I had to turn it off -- I normally listen on my iPod during my commute but this was unbearable.
I don't understand the need for the move and clearly people aren't going to say the *actual* reasons. After all, it's political season now, so why tell the truth? From the perspective of a listener who has been there since episode 1, I can say this:
1. The quality of the most recent show made it sound horrible and amateurish. The lack of an intro of any kind other than "Heeeeeeeeeeeey everybody it's Mike *inaudible techno shriek* of the WoW Insider *inaudible techno shriek*" was off-putting from the start.
2. One of the main reasons I listened to WoW Insider Show was because it was part of the WCRadio lineup and community. Not specifically because it was part of WCRadio, but rather because it was part of an entire station devoted to gaming and Warcraft. That was cool. Now it's just another independent podcast, which is meh. With so many podcasts out there, having an alliance of podcasts, a collective audience and a unified professional sound was what set these shows apart. Now there's not much to differentiate from any of the other shows floating about out there. Turpster helps, but without the behind-the-scenes professionalism of the WCRadio broadcast, it just doesn't feel worth it.
Sep 18th 2008 11:20PM Yeah, I'm in the "Blizzard respects that more than just PC users play games" category. I can't check out WAR because it's not for Mac. Mythic, L2Hybrid
Sep 12th 2008 4:10PM Yeah, but where are the keys for those of us who are still waiting on our WWI beta card invites?
Sep 5th 2008 4:03PM BRK, please do a video with multiple mobs being knocked back? Those of us not yet in the beta (stupid WWI codes...) would love to see that!
Sep 5th 2008 4:01PM Charge is now available to Tenacity (tanking) pets, such as Boars and Rhinos.
Check http://blue.mmo-champion.com/3/9023656642-boars--charge-the-now-lost-fun-factor.html to see where Blue says it, and if you look at the pet calculator on WoWHead (http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?petcalc) you can see that they have it built into the calculator where Charge used to be.
Jul 25th 2008 12:51PM Ghostcrawler confirms that all hunters will be able to get end-tier pet talents and that there are buggy tooltips:
"I wanted to clear this up since it is understandably causing some confusion.
All pet tiers cost 3 points to advance. There are no talents that cost 5 points. In the beta some tooltips may say 5 but only 3 is enforced.
Most importantly this means that there are not talents that are available only to BM hunters. They can get more talents - that's all.
Furthemore, the exotic pet abilities while interesting are just the same kind of unique abilities that every pet family gets, like web or prowl.
Hope that clears some things up. :) "
Jul 18th 2008 5:07AM First task? Pressing "N" and looking at all the hunter talents.
After that . . . eh, not really sure!
Jun 9th 2008 4:10PM This looks very cool. I don't really care if the ideas may have come from other MMO's because . . . guess what? I'm not playing other MMO's. I'm not exactly sure why people feel that Blizzard needs to create a completely original product. As other posters have said, I'd rather have it this way than have a crappy original.
That being said, the achievements look cool if the screens from http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=190580 are any indication. I love the Insignia idea on WoWJutsu and thought it would be a great addition to the official WoW game itself, especially at the character level. Would be great if they were viewable on /inspect or at the armory.
Jun 5th 2008 1:21PM I'm still waiting for pretty much anything regarding hunter talents/spells. I just hope the lack of info means they're really working on giving us something cool (psssst, Aspect ofthe Worgen as a 51 pt BM talent would be just fine!)
Jun 2nd 2008 4:33PM Agree completely. Same exact people living in a different state and suddenly there's no story for KTVB to write...
