Win sweet prizes from the new, new WoW Insider {WoW}

Sep 16th 2010 1:24AM I wish blizzard would make a pet or a mount on the Blizz store for the millions of People in Pakistan who have died in the recent flood tragedy and the millions more who will not survive if they don't receive aid.

Apr 15th 2010 12:54PM Whats wrong with having shiv (or any other ability) as a combo point builder? u have mutilate as well? and its more fun might i add...

Apr 14th 2010 1:20PM you know i have been thinking just that sort of a method of rogue combo point generation... but blizz maynot do it since it is similar to the diablo version of the rogue system to some extent...

I think what would be better would be for redirect to be a timer like cooldown whereas for 20 or 30 or whatever seconds (i like to start my number large...keeping a margin for haggling) during which all combo points are generated on the rogue (if blizz dont want it to be permanently)
or for 30 seconds the combo points of the current target are automatically transferred to the next target when you switch your targets...

this would be more useful and fun... you would save it for ad phases on boss fights or use it as half an aoe cooldown....

plus we really need a finisher which hurts more than one target (just for fun and faster leveling to 85 ;)

Cataclysm Class Changes: Rogue analysis {WoW}

Apr 14th 2010 1:03PM I am a little disappointed that the only new abilities being introduced in cata are situational cool downs... we are not getting any rotation changing solid combo point generators or finishers... guess cata isn't changing us that much at all...

Apr 14th 2010 12:11PM Really? i used to use it as my primary combo point generator with that offhand first that drops from nexus normal... ofc that was before the nerf...but i always felt alot closer to my rogue knowing that he different from others who are just using sinister strike. I dont know why blizzard is so against giving us various options for CP generating abilities. First hemo died then shiv... isnt the whole idea of giving talent trees and glyphs is to let people customize their characters to their own play styles, but instead you have cookie cutter builds and non-optional glyphs and set in stone rotations...

Apr 14th 2010 11:42AM I am still confused with redirect...
how exactly is our combo point interaction going to work with the target...
a. if i am still generating combo points on a target, how is SnD working without a target to have combo points on? is it working without combo points?
b. how is redirect determining which target to transfer my combo points from and which target to?
c. Is it on GCD?
d. right now im assuming that combo points will remain on my target even after they are dead... but what will be the range of using these?
e. I'm sure there will be plenty of high movement takedowntheaddsastheyspawn kinda of fights in cata, will 1min be truly enuf to make this ability that revolutionary?

I really believe that its high time rogues evolve to generating combo points on themselves rather than their targets, this will increase our versatality by alot, especially with the "tentative" nerf to Fok...

Dec 4th 2009 12:26PM Blizzard is so not interested in letting player customize their character's or rogues according to their own play style and will always consciously-subconsciously keep the game/rogue in such a way that all the players will have to use the same abilities and talents the way blizz want you to. case in point the repeated nerf to [Shiv] and [hemo] preventing their usage as a primary combo point builder instead of [sinister strike], Blizzard does not want people to customize their rogues and play them the way they would enjoy them. we are bound to cookie cutter builds to do max dps. i personally loved changing my spec and weapons to use Shiv as my primary attack and it was fun. it was different and i felt more in tuned with my rogue since i had customized him for myself without compromising dps and being a bad player. It would have been cool if blizz let players decide if they wanted to be Shiv centered, hemo centered or sinister strike centered. each with its own talent boost and glyphs and preferred weapon types and speeds. hybrids get alot of variety in their class, is this too much to ask from a "melee pure dps" class which doesn't bring much raid buffs?

But i did do a dance when i heard that armour penetration and Attack power are going. too many stats make deciding which gear to take more of a math problem then picking the obvious upgrade. and the change to haste will be fun. press more buttons hehe.
