Apr 2nd 2012 6:13PM I've had 2 characters since Vanilla, a Night Elf Shadow Priest and a Draenei Protection Paladin. I never considered one my main, but always felt at home on my priest. I created a Pally tank, because I was frustrated with bad tanks and 2 of my friends played pally's. I ultimately decided my Paladin was my main I ended up tanking so much and my guild wanted me to choose a role.
I've tried other classes/races but just missed playing my other characters too much.
Mar 29th 2012 4:49PM I was really looking forward to this as an MMO. I tried the original Warhammer 40k (video) games just recently, and fell in love with the universe. I love the dark fantasy, and the tech mixed with magic.
Mar 8th 2012 3:55PM I have been such a huge fan of the Mechwarrior series for a long time. I'm glad to see a company taking such care in not only creating the game, but the new look of the game. My one wish for MWO is that someday it's more than PvP. Clan Invasion battles would be great raids!
Jan 19th 2012 2:47PM This all seems a little over reactionary, doesn't it? TOR has been out for a month, and people are unsubscribing because a AAA company's first MMO's first major update screwed with balance on one planet. There are 11 other planets with content for everyone, plus flashpoints and Huttball.
Oct 9th 2011 11:23AM @Space Cobra Also, regarding STO, I would say it's the opposite idea. Everything is in space, and ground missions are very directed and enclosed. But that is Star Trek, it is called STAR Trek after all (as opposed to Ground Trek).
I agree with you about mini-games. A Rail-Shooter is a good way to break up typical game mechanics.
Oct 5th 2011 12:00PM I would love to see a stream of end of time. I just have a feeling Murozond is actually an existing character with an anagram-ized (?) name.
Oct 2nd 2011 8:16PM Arenas. Before they started WoW had a lot fewer arguments about what "Class Balance" actually means.
Revamp Primary Professions so they are self-sustaining. Engineers could loot an item, reverse engineer it, and create something based off newly gained knowledge. Blacksmiths could analyze the item through metallurgy or something. Scribes could copy inscriptions off items, call it plagiarism.
Wands. Who cares if people say you are copying DA, it's a good idea to have the spells coming out of a staff. Also make the "Shoot" skill casters get for wands, matter; At least while grinding to max level. It'd be nice to have all spells channeled through a Staff, it's such an iconic "wizardy" thing. It would be a cool look.
Boars. J/k we need the boars.
Inability to cast while mounted.
Hit Rating. If my character is considered powerful enough to face down Ragnaros, he should be smart enough to figure out how a mace/sword/insert weapon here works.
Not really a system as much as a philosophy, but end "This is how we want X class to be played". Players who create Shockadins, Panzerkins, and whatever crazy spec they think of, often sacrifice their class tier gear for less iconic looking stuff. It's a good trade, let the players play.
Sep 25th 2011 8:38AM In the past, WoW has had some great hybrid builds. All of them created by players who asked "what would happen if..."
Shockadins, Mage tanks, Panzerkins, the former glory of the shadow priest, I even had a friend who used to tank as a holy pally (used heals for aggro). It bothers me that Blizzard typically works to prevent these unique specs.
WoW could use a true "Caster Tank". A cloth-wearer who dodges/teleports away from/slows the boss while everyone else beats in it.
A hunter who's pet is able to lick your wounds, for some healing.
Sep 11th 2011 5:58AM Shaman will receive a Go'el themed teir.
