Sep 14th 2010 2:55PM White raptor for the win, please...!
Sep 10th 2010 12:05AM Pardon my misuse of 'to wit'. I should've said 'furthermore'.

Sep 9th 2010 11:56PM I would -much- rather prefer this to be a quest of some sort. To wit, I really wish they'd make flying (at all) be a quest related reward. Maybe you get a special quest at 58, teaching you how to fly right before you enter the dark portal. Trial accounts, of course, are SoL. Hell, maybe the mats for the quest are 50g a pop and sold at specific vendors across azeroth, making people plunk down some gold and some effort for it.
Don't gate the Cata content at all. LET people see the new beautiful zones, let them fly through hyjal. Just don't let them quest, gain any experience or get loot from creatures in those zones until they buy the expansion.
This is like, free advertising. Give people flying, let them gawk at the gorgeousness of the new expansion and anyone left doubting will come in -droves- to cata.
Sep 9th 2010 6:46PM Every torrent program I've ever used has built in throttling, all you have to do is configure it. It's rather simple. Go to speedtest.net, see what your speed is and then set the torrent throttle to half that; both down AND up. Consult the manual/faqs on the torrent program for how to set the throttle.
That should leave you plenty of overhead space to wow and whatever else. Also much simpler than playing with QoS rules, depending on your router.
Aug 25th 2010 3:16PM Piggyback question: I've also noticed a serious decline in lockboxes dropped off mobs in Wrath, compared to the other content areas. Whatever shall happen with lockpicking?
Aug 25th 2010 3:14PM I have a crazy idea.
Since blizzard has been able to 'spellbook-ize' pets and mounts, and also added the glorious glory of having achievements, what if there was something like an 'armor rack'?
Sort of like a psuedo-bank specifically for tier armor that was also visible on your armory profile. It would hold, specifically, each level of tier gear, as well as possibly some special holiday gear or dungeon sets. That would give people yet another fun-if-pointless-collectible game, going back and trying to collect all of the old pieces of tier gear for their armor rack. It'd also allow us packrats to clear out some bank space by preserving our 'gosh, that was an awesome set' somewhere where we can still have it but also show it off. Also, a place to store your legendary weapons.
They'd probably have to fix some old quests to ensure people could go back and get every level of gears (being the naxx move broke some), but I think it would actually motivate people to go on older raids and inspire the community a little bit to revisit forgotten places in BC.
What do you think?
Aug 9th 2010 2:43PM I only recently began playing a hunter, and I must confess that it's become one of my favorite alts. I didn't used to read Scattered Shots before playing a hunter, but now I peek at each one that crops up.
Not all of them are relevant to my interests. I don't really intend to bring my hunter into progression raiding, but I would like to be able to have her nicely decked out in tier gear some day; so keeping up to date on relevant specs, rotations and gear is certainly right up my alley.
I appreciate all the work the WoW.com staff does, and look forward to seeing more hunter news and advice in the future.
Jul 27th 2010 1:31PM Alas, a message in a bottle amidst a sea of glass. I cast my entry thusly, and hope it might turn up in generous hands one day.
May 18th 2010 10:45AM Mounts? In my mailbox? But how do they fit..?
