Apr 26th 2010 4:52PM This is a bittersweet move. I mean the combing the 10/25 man raid lockouts I think is a bad move on one hand because of people getting saved and might have to miss because of real life. However, this move is good because this will give everybody a chance to get geared and GS won't be so lopsided. Now RL can base players on skill not GS. Its easy to get carried through ICC 25 and get the gear and still suck at your character. I have seen all of the content on wotlk but others have not or can not get into 25 mans and all they run is 10 mans and get decent loot but no DBW or Blood venom blades. Then you get 25man geared people going into 10 mans and downing all the bosses like it was nothing. I think maybe that is why blizzard is doing this. So everybody will be on a lvl playing field. I know this is going to hurt some of the high epeens that stand on the streets of Dalaran for 2 to 3 hours straight showing off those icc 25 man loots, but this will others a chance to raid and enjoy what they pay for every month.
Mar 19th 2010 8:39PM I go to tankspot, because the girl who does the videos is hot and she plays WOW. Just Saying.
Mar 14th 2010 2:33PM Yeah, if you don't like the buff don't use it. That is so simple. I really don't care if another guild downs Lichy or not. It doesn't make me respect them anymore than I do anybody else. I think all people that paid for their game should get a chance at seeing the endgame content. Some people have real lives, Jobs, and families and can't dedicate themselves to be hardcore. Which of course some hardcore members can juggle a real life. But some does not have the time.
Mar 2nd 2010 1:24PM To all you people saying too soon and it takes away from the game. Its very simple even a caveman can turn it off( I know lame...). Don't use the buff. I am in a raiding guild. I get in 10 and 25 man icc, and have got a piece of the lich king. Some people is not that fortunate. I am glad now they are going to get a chance to see the endgame content. Some have real lives that they can't fully dedicate themselves. Now they can get to at least see the lich king fight. For you people who like a challenge tell wrynn or garrosh to get out, you don't need them. Its so simple, but yet to some has to be made complicated.
Feb 12th 2010 2:57PM Well...while I agree totally this game should be fun, if you raid in a progression raid, and your dps is holding the group back because your not willing to listen and change rotations or specs or your not willing to use addons to help you get out of fires. then a progression raid is not for you. I believe everybody deserves a chance to kill the lich king however it takes teamwork, and a willing to do what it takes to pull your weight. If there is one thing I hate is for people that is to lazy or stubborn to figure out what they are doing wrong and expect to be carried.
Feb 5th 2010 7:41PM Even though I believe banning anybody for using a bug to win is extreme, Ensidia got what was coming to them because they reported Exodus for using the 25 man ulduar Yogg no light mode bug, and they got the same punishment Ensidia got. Blizzard was just trying to be fair. I know ensidia was upset... I guess if I was in their shoes after getting a worlds first and having that rush of defeating one a the main characters of the wow universe I would probably be cursing too, who wouldn't. I guess blizzard is trying to make a statement, if a instance is bugged, don't use it or get banned. I think blizzard with anybody who uses a bug, should take away their rewards, give them back their attempts IF the instance has one, fix the bug, and let them redeem themselves. Not ban them. I have never been in a situation where I was in a bugged instance where it was beneficial, all the bugs I experienced made the fight much harder. lol
Feb 4th 2010 6:24PM I would just think a world first kill doing the fight the way it was intended would mean more to me than using a bug to win, and Its not because Ensidia is Ensidia is why people is ragging on them, its because they made a reputation for themselves as being the best and used a bug to win even though they claim they didn't know. The only way they are going to pick themselves back up and shut everyone up to do do it without the use a of a bug. They reported a guild I believe Exodus back in Ulduar that killed Yogg no lights for cheating, now they are in the cheating spotlight. I disagree with ban but I do agree with the achievement and loot took away.
Feb 4th 2010 5:45PM I do agree Blizzard has a BIG problem with shoot first, investigate ask questions later, that they ban people sometimes without facts, I agree that the ban was a little extreme, but like Adam said what goes around comes around. I mean come on, when a floor collapses out from under you normally in game play, that means its not going to rebuild. Ensidia knew that, they are not retards. Yes its Blizzards fault, they should test things a little more closely. The saronite bombs is not the issue.. Its the floor collapsing and rebuilding. I watched blood legions kill on youtube. That floor is not meant to rebuild. I say Ensidia needs to try it again without the bug, and if they do it... They proved they are what they claim to be. If not, then let a new world first champion arise. But them acting innocent like they didn't know what was going on. That is BS. They admitted "Yes it seems this bug does relate to our kill. We had no idea that our Rogues using Saronite Bombs in their rotation (as they always do) was causing it and thusly it occured every try we did. Short version, we're not going to stop trying the boss when all we are doing is playing our normal game. It would be nice if these kinds of things, much the same as Holy Wrath on Anub, were tested before release". How did the bombs cause the fight to bug? This is from a blue post " Quote from: Daelo (Source)
We just made a hotfix that disables the siege damage dealt by Saronite Bombs and the Global Thermal Sapper Charge. The siege damage of the bombs was causing the Frozen Throne platform to rebuild, which greatly decreases the difficulty of the encounter.
We'll reenable the siege damage in a later update when the issue with the Frozen Throne is fixed" Ensidia knew the platforms was rebuilding that is why I think blizzard banned them.
Dec 13th 2009 7:01AM Ok, here is my view, which is not logical or tallying up numbers and percentages,I read a lot of the posts on the wow site that this blog gave the link to. I have played for 1 year and 3 months, I don't know how Vanilla was, but I heard it was rough. Anyways I am happy with the new patch, I like the dungeon finder, the new raid, and 5-mans, and it is fair for people who has real life jobs for the emblems to be accessible for nice gear. but in other ways I didn't like the nerf to my dk. My point is, there is not a perfect solution to anything in life, and from playing this game and watching trade chat and reading forums blizzard could fix all of our problems and people would still complain because to some its their human nature to qq. for example the week before 3.3 came out there was people that was qq because 3.3 didn't come out after thanks giving, then after 3.3 came out the same people was complaining because it was released too soon. Yeah I admit I complained about the SS nerf, but I seen where GC said, it might not be a lasting thing, they are just gonna see how it works. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=21730605184&postId=217285392105&sid=1#0
I think that GC answered that queston. I do admit reading the people trashing designers was going over board with the name calling.
