Oct 19th 2011 2:42PM Chaser Christian you are an awesome blogger!! SO AWESOME YAY.
Sep 21st 2011 10:46PM I'm sure it's already been said, but the reason WHY rogues had the almost the most access to legendaries is because they are one of the few classes that can use almost ANY weapon. In that regard, I would say that warriors get the most legendary love for that same reason. They can use any of them. Is it good for the prot warrior to use Shadowmourne? Obviously not.
While we play specific specs in WoW, remember that we set out to play a CLASS. So, I apologize to the kitty and bear druids out there, but you've had you ability to have a druid legendary weapon, even right this second. I get that it's not your spec, and I feel for you, but I don't find it relevant in a CLASS discussion. Rogues are stuck as DPSers no matter what, while you have had the chance on two separate occasions to get two different legendaries. Same with Shamans. Same with any class that has a hybrid. I think blizzard saw that as a CLASS, rogues were next in line, and honestly I don't see how anyone can be so speccist and not see that.
Jul 21st 2011 6:51PM You know, everyone calling the article writer a child etc, and yet name-calling is upvoted.
Are you all 5?
Jul 20th 2011 9:01PM This is the most amazing comment ever.
Jul 20th 2011 8:20PM I don't understand why everyone is so mad. There are people that do things like this, and he basically let all the people who don't want to be griefed know what to look out for.
He is the ROGUE writer, he is responsible for explaining this from a true rogue perspective.
You don't play a rogue because they are top DPS, since they aren't. You play it for fun, for the finesse, for the ability to sneak up on your enemy and take them out and play your rogue to its true potential. You can't sit here, any of you, and say you don't look for the easiest mob to kill when you level, or take out the weakest link in an Arena match. and you rogues can't say you don't use every tool to your advantage when you level or PVP. In fact, if you aren't playing the class to the best of its potential then you are doing it wrong.
The rogue exists to ambush, to stunlock, to be the scum of the earth. Look at the talent trees, look at the moves they get. They are sinister, they mulilate bodies, they are assassins. What the writer is doing here is telling rogues how to have even more of an advantage (which is his job as the rogue advocate on this site)in a world PVP (oh and it is world PVP) setting and explaining to all you non-roguers just what a rogue might do to you if given the chance. Instead of complaining, be happy he let you in on all the stupid secrets.
And I know this pisses everyone off, but if you dont want to be griefed, roll on a PVE server. I get it, you want to have the "occasional" fun. No. Flag yourself, or go do a BG. Part of being on a PVP server is griefing. If you don't understand that, you don't understand the world of video games. No one made you roll on a server where people gank you. If you're on a server because of friends, then get your friends out to help save you. Don't whine to Blizzard. There's a reason they promote it. Its the same reason you all posted on this post. It provides controversy and drama sells. It also builds teamwork and loyalty. This article probably got more views than any in the last month. All of you that had to tell the writer your point and basically QQ, you're just another alliance toon that pulled a mob and gave him another target.
I suggest you stop pulling mobs and go somewhere else.
May 18th 2011 6:27PM Perhaps he's more annoyed that rogues, who are a pure DPS class, see nothing new.
Feb 20th 2010 5:38AM Verb
(transitive, Internet, online gaming, slang) To kill, ambush, or defeat with little effort; used in online games.
"So I totally ganked this priest in Westfall."
"I hate it when corpse-campers gank me over and over again."
Rogues ambush and kill things with little effort all the time. It doesn't have anything to do with level, just an upper-hand, regardless of what that may be. If I happened to kill a level 80 priest as a level 79 rogue with ease, its still considered a gank. Especially if I can do it over and over again. Its just rare that that ever happens. :) :)
Thats why rogue ganking is considered an art. No other class has the same type of "finesse" to make a kill so artful and seem so god damned easy.
Feb 17th 2010 11:36PM "Promoting an activity which is counterproductive to their faction's success is a little irresponsible."
Snaps! This is totally what I got out of the article.
