Why is Blizzard still OK with gender inequality in World of Warcraft? {WoW}
Apr 3rd 2012 4:37PM I wonder if anyone else still remembers FFXI and the vaunted Subligar. Yes, friends, Final Fantasy offered gender equality, in the form of a metal bikini bottom for both men and women. It really drew the community together, with players and characters of both genders racing to reach something a little less exposing. I still remember my first time putting on a pair of pants, and thinking "merciful heavens, finally."
If anybody has a petition to extend the benefits of exposing gear to male characters, I'll sign - nothing to grant insight (and respect) like a little experience.
Of monks, mains, and the ability to change {WoW}
Apr 2nd 2012 6:01PM Sadly, the timeframe for most of that is "soon". ;) I agree wholeheartedly, once it's in place, a lot of the barrier will be removed. But it can't come "soon" enough.
Of monks, mains, and the ability to change {WoW}
Apr 2nd 2012 4:39PM I want to switch to a Monk as well, but the sheer weight of investment makes it agonizing.
All those achievements, titles, mounts, pets, and toys? It's like building up a bank account to $1,000,000... Then tossing it in a drawer and starting over from scratch.
How can I walk away from everything I've earned?
Raid Rx: Mists of Pandaria healing changes {WoW}
Mar 26th 2012 2:40PM The impression I get is that it will let you split your body (the part that takes damage) from your spirit (immune, mobile, and casting).
If that's the case, then in a fight like Morchok you could plant your body behind a pillar, pop Spectral Guise, and run back around to keep attacking or healing.
Mists of Pandaria Beta: New glyphs {WoW}
Mar 22nd 2012 11:56AM Priests have generally gotten the treatment of a starter class: We get something, then another healer gets a better version of it. (Unless it's weak enough nobody wants it!)
Mists of Pandaria Beta: New glyphs {WoW}
Mar 22nd 2012 12:44AM Not much for Priests in there (I think I only saw three, and two are already in-game). But - Glyph of Holy Fire is totally worth a lack of others. Mmm...
Spiritual Guidance: Monk healing vs. priest healing in Mists of Pandaria {WoW}
Mar 21st 2012 9:34PM I know this was primarily about Monks vs. Priests, but consider Meditation + Spirit Link Totem - on a heavy AoE spell damage phase, that means 99% damage reduction for everyone!
Even if the combination only lasts for 6 seconds (Spirit Link's time), that's a whole lot of acceptable damage - and at the end, the Monk is still Meditating for 4 more seconds.
I think that beats Barrier plus Divine Hymn.
Spiritual Guidance: Brainstorming the future of shadow priest glyphs {WoW}
Mar 21st 2012 4:56PM More Shadowform choices are always good. Perhaps one that lets us be a flat black cutout (no light escaping to provide perspective), and one that makes our armor look normal while our exposed skin (face, sometimes fingers/arms) go smoky and transparent.
(Plus if we had that, Dispersion could make our armor collapse into a pile on the ground as we lose substance!)

Mar 21st 2012 4:49PM I could go for perma-wings, particularly if they were wispy tatters, ala Tyrael's Charger.
Breakfast Topic: What's your one wish for Mists of Pandaria? {WoW}
Mar 16th 2012 11:47AM I'm torn - I have two wishes.
1) Account-wide earnables (mounts, pets, titles, achievements). I want to play alts... but what about all the things I earned on my ancient main?
2) A dynamic world, constantly changing and shifting in response to unpredictable events. (Earthquakes, actual faction battles, fairy dragon circles... Anything to make the world less monotonous.)
