Sep 7th 2011 1:17PM Oi. I really hope WoW doesn't go down the support class road. I don't really favor the idea of being dependent on someone else.
I know of course we're dependent on our tanks to properly pick up the mobs, and our healers to keep us alive...and the dps to kill the stuff before we all run out of resources. But that's different than being dependent on a support class to get as much at of your character's abilities as possible. And for the support class to really be 'necessary' enough for raids/dungeons/pvp to take them, they'd have to be important to the output of the other 3 roles. And that's just plain scary.
Hypothetical musing: I can pull 10k dps on my own, but if the support class is present and properly doing their job, I can pull 15k dps.
Yikes! That's scary. I want to be able to get the most out of my character without the direct 'buffing' influence of another person. What if that person is screwing up miserably? Or just out to get my magepants and so doesn't buff my dps like he/she should?
I don't want to imagine the pressure that type of situation would be on the support class player or the abuse they could get for not knowing how to do their job! It'd be a nightmare. And I wouldn't want to be on the end of having some inexperienced support class in my group which makes us wipe continually because we don't have enough 'power' to properly complete the dungeon/raid/pvp.
Sep 6th 2011 11:35AM As a tailor you automatically get more cloth than non tailors in Northrend and the 80-85 Cata zones! A very needed boost to cloth drops for tailors :-D http://www.wowhead.com/skill=197/tailoring
Aug 30th 2011 11:57PM I have to disagree with this.
Have we all forgotten how excited everyone was for new races? And a revamp of new zones? The player-base was incredibly enthusiastic about what Cata brought. Flying in Azeroth...and a whole new talent system. We got a new World of Warcraft in a lot of ways, a major redesign/overhaul.
Unfortunately, we got a lot of hype early on due to the release of info via the Alpha way sooner than Blizzard ever intended. We got burnt out on excitement before Blizz could tease us. (Like they've been doing now!) A lot happened around Cata that we can't really blame Blizz for, and shouldn't.
I know I'm partially feeding the troll with this...but don't try to speak for the rest of the paying player base, and if you're still paying, I'm curious as to why.
Aug 25th 2011 10:04PM *raises glass to Blizz*
I know we complain a lot, and fret, and raise our fists and drown in pools of tears that there's still no Moose, but in all seriousness, thanks for a freaking amazing game we all...well haven't lived without for the last 6 years.
Aug 18th 2011 11:42AM Along the same lines as this question...there used to be an Armory viewer back in the day that let you see all the tier sets. Am I correct in assuming that is no longer available?
I suppose I'll just have to google to find what sets are appealing enough to go hunt =P
Aug 18th 2011 11:36AM Ikea has some great office chairs, I can't recommend any particular one as everyone is different, but I've used a couple of them and have been very pleased. I don't recall them being ridiculously expensive or anything. Gluck on your search! Finding a comfy chair can be such a pain!
Feb 24th 2011 8:57PM So freaking proud to go to this school with these people.
Jan 15th 2011 2:50AM Oh I have! I'm excited about the arcane changes, hopefully it'll make it a bit more exciting.
I'm stuck on the warlocks not having to spend mana on armor... but mages do. And I'm jealous of the extra interesting changes, (instead of just buffs)
Big difference XD
