Aug 16th 2011 11:11PM Played the demo and it was pretty meh. Honestly, I don't see very many people picking this game up at launch -- especially for full retail price ($60). Bodycount definitely feels like one of them budget titles like EDF: IA, and should be priced as such. I expect to see it on sale on Amazon for less than $40 in about 2-3 weeks from now.
Aug 16th 2011 11:08PM @KGameLover1 You can walk while aiming, it's just done a strange way. If you have the Left Trigger held completely down you'll go into the "peek aiming" whereas if you have the trigger held slightly down (halfway) then you can move while aiming. Really, really annoying IMO.
My initial impression of the demo is just "meh". The explosive bullets or whatever was on d-pad right felt like it had no impact (damage and visually), and the skillshot thing was extremely basic (especially when compared to Bulletstorm). The environment felt cluttered to me, and the enemy AI is terrible at times. The developers said they were going for a real arcadey feel, so I'll admit they hit that head on. The only thing I really liked was being able to double-tap the grenade button for impact explosions
Jul 29th 2011 2:11PM @peter pham It's honestly up to one taste's. They're both great games, but I know I'll be sticking with League of Legends. I played HoN during beta and for quite some time afterwards, but once I sunk my teeth into LoL there was no going back. :P
Jul 22nd 2011 7:45PM Man, this game is looking/sounding better by the article. Can't wait to pick it up.
Jul 21st 2011 5:19PM @Castiel I hear you on that one. I can't wait to sink my teeth in Deus Ex, Dead Island, and Skyrim this fall
Jul 9th 2011 4:23PM The demo was certainly aesthetically refreshing, but I'm in that crowd of people who felt that the combat was a little boring and leaves much to be desired. Based on the demo I know that this isn't a title I'm willing to pay $60 for (in my opinion), but I'll likely bite when it comes down in price to around $40.
Jun 10th 2011 3:34PM "Yeah, those girls only "look" 17; they're really 30-something years old officer!"
Jun 6th 2011 6:59PM I'm definitely not sure on those on-foot sequences.
Were it more Mirror's Edge style parkour elements and control, I could see it being pretty awesome. As it is now, I have a feeling the QTE sequences are going to be the major focal point of what a lot of reviewers and critics are NOT going to like about the game. It's too simple, hardly interesting, and breaks up the racing.
The rest of the game looks great though. The actual racing, and that sequence with the helicopter chasing the player was pretty epic.
Jun 1st 2011 6:39PM This will go great with the pillow case and mouse pad (with breasts for wrist support) I got with the Record of Agarest War limited edition :D
May 12th 2011 1:18AM I read "Unbounded" in the title and just thought it was a typo. I finish watching the trailer and realize it wasn't... I really, really hope they change that to (at least) "Unbound", or something else entirely.
But on the other hand, RRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RAAAAAAAAACER!
