The Queue: In which MoP talents are not mopped up {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2011 7:00PM I love Moogoogaipanda, though I wouldn't use it. :)

Wonder if there will be any Adrian's for monks. I'm assuming an entire host of JackBlack or Po derivatives for the panda monks.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital charity auction ending soon {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2011 6:35PM Understanding of course that these are European servers and shipping across Europe, so shipping costs vary a lot.

The USA servers to a USA address were like $15-20 I think. Nothing unreasonable for the size of them I think.

Nov 22nd 2011 6:31PM I was going to bid on a Senjin one back when they were up, not sure what they ended at, but just had no money at the time. Even though I don't play now, it was a part of my life for a long time and I have lots of fond memories.

While I've got nothing against Make-A-Wish, it is nice to see St Jude also, great charity.

The Queue: Syrio lives {WoW}

Sep 6th 2011 11:25AM Players bitched and whined because they had less Cataclysm content. If the cause of that was the development time spent on The Shattering, then so be it, but that doesn't mean The Shattering is part of the expansion. It's available to everyone that has WoW, whether you bought Cataclysm or not.

And, even then, you get the very linear nature of the questing, which is okay, but they didn't seem to care about accounting for the increased leveling pace or power scaling much at all. IMO, they dropped the ball simply by one long linear pathway, rather than each zone having shorter branching pathways that each told the story of the zone and then moved you on.

The Queue: What am I going to do with all these Green Proto-Drakes? {WoW}

Sep 4th 2011 4:28PM For a while I'd occasionally snag a healer bag on non-zandalari's, though not since the patch. Never got a mount, but got a few pets that sold decent actually. (Deviate hatchling and something else I forget)

Sep 4th 2011 4:18PM Plenty of races have bonuses with certain weapons. If my gnome wants the look/sound of an axe but using his sword for the bonus, I'm out of luck at the current time.

Again, no problem with hunters being able to change, has nothing to do with that. No need to defend hunters getting to change bow/gun.

And no, if some classes can't wield the weapon, they couldn't change it anyway since you need to be able to wield it.

As with anything, Blizzard drew an arbitrary line and that's just how it goes. It's not like they had to choose between hunters being able to change bows/guns and melee options, they just decided to do things this way.

Know Your Lore: Vol'jin vs. the Zandalar {WoW}

May 4th 2011 7:16PM I'm Alliance all the way for gnomes, so most of the horde stuff didn't seem that great to me. Thrall was always that iconic hero that I just didn't care for since everyone treated him as if he lacked faults, except when he needed faults to be cooler, or something. I didn't dislike the Tauren, but it's a bit tiresome that they're always presented as these peaceful types, when the first thing my little proto-tauren do is go out and kill local threats. That's not "wrong", but people paint them as somehow "holier than thou" when it comes to violence...

Anyway, the point is, I like VolJin. He seems to be a capable, well rounded leader. He is smart, but has a temper, he is also smart enough to realize he lost his temper! :) He's not afraid of a fight, but doesn't seem to go out of his way to look for them.

Also a possibility that the Loa have warned him of the Zandalar as a threat!

IMO, he turned down the Zandalar offer because the Dark Spears will not submit to ANYONE. Voljin didn't do much under Thrall, because Thrall understood that. It makes sense to me that Voljin kept a low profile during Thrall's reign. Under Garrosh, he made it perfectly clear that the trolls were not subordinate to the orcs, they were in the Horde because they wanted to be and because they believed in the alliance.

To join up with the Zandalari and the other tribes, the Dark Spear would become lessened again, even if the trolls won. (Especially if the trolls won, I guess.)

I look forward to the day he gacks a leader for the horde. Maybe Sylvanas' time has come, or maybe Garrosh needs an arrow as promised, but I'd like Voljin to be there to do it. :)
(Though I can't see him being Warchief)

Totem Talk: Epicly gearing your enhancement shaman {WoW}

Jan 29th 2011 4:26PM Offtopic, but I recall the first epic my warlock got was when he made the tailor set in BC. A friend of mine that was on again/ off again with WoW was in Shattrath and I linked him the set. "Wow, stats are nice, but we'll never get epics."
"Dude, I'm wearing it!"
"no way!"

By Contrast, my shaman came up late in Wrath and epics just dropped on her like rain from the sky. I may not have had the "wow cool!" factor of that first epic, but it was still fun to watch the rewards escalate my power. Cataclysm feels more like a brick wall sometimes, waiting for a random drop to help out, then losing the roll... ugh.

And if this appears after the first one, it's because the system said to do it!
