Mar 22nd 2012 1:00PM The Have Group Will Travel perk IS one of the BEST and GREATEST perks for our guild. We use it EVERYTIME we raid or have a Guild EVENT so we can bring everyone together at the same time and it SAVES a ton of time, so you are not waiting to get the raid going on some slow poke. It allows to have more raid time.
Come on Blizzard - Get your head out. You can set it so we can only use to summons to certain places but DO NOT take it away completely please.
Mar 16th 2012 12:30PM Your article does hit a major point about activity in the game. I have to admit at first that I was a little peeved at first because it made it seem as "Finally there is a GOOD Leveling Guild".
I am the Guild Leader for WoW the Musical on Shandris and we do all that and have been for over 5 years. Our Motto since I took over 4 years ago has been "NO Drama" and it is strictly enforced.
We help people level and give them a safe enviroment to play in. If we have some one in the same level range we will join up with them and try to get them on mumble to help explain some of the little things in the game. If they are looking for a answer, we help them with it and then point them to several sites on where to find more answers like wow insider rookie guide, wowhead, maxdps, elitist jerks and so on.
I completely agree on the problem of NEW guilds popping up and not being very helpful. If one is looking for a leveling or social guild, first thing to look for is how long have they been around and that will be a good starting point. Do they have a website? This shows they are making an effort to get information out to the members. Do not just bring your main in, take an alt and try them out first. It can be hard to find the right fit but they are out there.
Jan 2nd 2012 2:44PM We are a social guild that likes to raid also. We have open recruitment BUT we require people to fill out our guild application on our website (www.wowthemusical.com) so that we get an idea of who they are and they HAVE TO read and accept the guild rules FIRST.
This has saved us soooo much hassle and guild drama has dropped to almost nothing and with a guild that has 800 toons is saying a lot. As mentioned above, you do not have to accept everyone.
Dec 31st 2011 1:16PM woot woot, we want this epic loot
Dec 28th 2011 8:47PM woot woot -- we all would like EPIC loot
Dec 26th 2011 8:18PM Our guild loot are similar - One M/S item per run. Unless some one else can not use it. One time we had only one clothie and that was all that dropped that night. So he was VERY happy.

Nov 22nd 2011 12:45PM The youngest member of our guild is 8 yrs old. She has a level 73 DK that SHE leveled herself. She was also the youngest player at Blizzcon with her own account. She only plays while dad is there. If she trys to log on when he is not the rest of guild gets after her and someone calls Dad.
Many other members have used their kids as bots for fishing and the like. It does teach them motor skills.
Main thing is it is all in the monitoring of the child.
