Jan 6th 2011 12:11PM Lefse should always be eaten cold. Always. With butter, sugar and cinnamon. And always of the thin variant. The thick ones are horrible. :p Colour me surprised when I saw the title, though. I wasn't aware that America had lefse!

Breakfast Topic: Gratitude for all things epic {WoW}

Oct 8th 2010 12:36PM WoW was my first MMO, and the games I used to play before that was mainly Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II with expansion. I've been playing since the game was about 6 months old in Europe, and I've never left it for longer stretches. I was immediately struck by the beautiful graphics, such a huge improvement over Baldur's Gate.

I think the two things I remember the best from back then was, first, when I tamed my first pet, a level 8 Elder Nightsaber, and I was terrified that I'd aggro a harpy or something; and second, my 20 ding. I was in Deadmines together with some random people I'd picked up in Sentinel Hill, one of them a 36 rogue who was tanking for us, since we were 3 hunters and a rogue. In the forge room, we were sitting just inside the entrance, talking, while the 36 was clearing, and suddenly, I was level 20. It was a very strange feeling, but I still remember it today.

I have tried some other MMOs, though. I really wanted to like Dungeons & Dragons Online, but I've always preferred to solo my way through content. So I gave up around level 10, unable to get a group to get any further. I also tried out LotRO, and found many small things I liked about it (like the wild flowers in the meadows rippling in the breeze), but it lacked a lot of the tiny details that makes me love WoW. There are no foot prints in LotRO.

Sep 14th 2010 7:42PM Some pets dance on live today. Wolf, bear and cat as I can remember off the top of my head. Try throwing a P.A.R.T.Y. Grenade on them and watch them dance. :)

Mar 22nd 2010 2:30PM I absolutely love Lady DeathWhisper's entry speech. Sadly, I'm one of the few, and the rest of the raid almost always speak over her on vent. I also love Putricide's voice at the beginning of Festergut (which is as far as we've come). In general, I love all of Karazhan, and I miss our weekly trips there.

For annoyance, Jaina. She is the single most annoying woman in game. There are more I'm annoyed at, but I can't remember them right now. :p

Ask a Faction Leader: Master Mathias Shaw {WoW}

Mar 9th 2010 6:05PM "pick Loch Modan" only works if you pronounce Loch incorrectly. It isn't pronounced "lock". The "ch" is a harsh throat sound, like in Scottish Loch (meaning lake) or German Bach.

Not so fun any longer when there is no lock to pick...

And I must say, this really didn't come off as Mathias Shaw to me. I've always thought of him as a sophisticated academic. Much like the higher up assassins in the Assassins' Guild of Ankh-Morpork.

Scattered Shots: Can Beast Mastery raid? {WoW}

Feb 12th 2010 12:34PM I recently switched from BM to MM as our Raid Group started progressing. I still switch back to BM for Anub'Arak 10, though, as I'm always on frost sphere duty, and the extra dps my pet does helps us to get him to 30% before he burrows a second time. That is, though, the only time I raid as BM now. Can't say I don't miss it, though...
