Nov 23rd 2010 11:18AM I still need to kill Big K.T. to get my Champion of the Frozen Wastes, how sad is that!?
Sep 9th 2010 11:10PM The point of Cold Weather Flying in Northrend was to help the flow of quests in the first few zones and then to make Icecrown and the Storm Peaks, which were designed for flying, more epic.
This on the other hand really has no point or reasoning. It doesn't add to content. It's also too small to be considered a gold sink such as mammoths and 310% flight speed are, but it is still large enough for many players to at least grumble about.
Jul 7th 2010 3:48PM I feel like there is a complete difference between Blizzards PR department and Content Development department.
As a 5-year WoW player, I'll admit while I'm a bit cautious, this does sound like a good change as to prevent talents from becoming more unwieldy as they will potentially come as more expansions are released.
Their PR is incredibly lacking. As posted here before, I am completely against their REAL ID idea and don't understand why they can't say..use our old now unused account names that we used to log in as, as our account name that sticks no matter where we post.
Jul 7th 2010 1:49AM I got banned on the WoW Forums for posting this. Apparently it's full of profanity, even though I ****'d it all out..
Jul 7th 2010 1:39AM To anyone who thinks that a personal name does not open the gate to a massive amount of danger, even something as little as an email can do so.
My girlfriend had an account on our guild website, her email address which she had public(not wow email address, she uses a seperate email for that, but her general email address). A stalker whom she spurrned IG, found her: name, address, and credit card information through a service in which he only paid a few dollars.
This was back in December of 2009
He then proceeded to call her and threaten her with **** and all sorts of sick things. Contacting Blizzard GM service did jack**** besides him advising her to /ignore him. So we ended up tracing the call's area code and finding the local police department. They arrested the man whom was a registered sex offender who was on parole for attempted sexual assault four years ago.
Never doubt what people will do with even an ounce of your personal information. An email address in the open is one thing, a full legal name is a whole other ball park.
