Mar 7th 2012 10:31PM I haven't played a shadow priest for almost 2 years (just before Icecrown), as I went Holy for raiding and didn't look back - but I have to say this is a really good article! There are some great quality of life changes mentioned, and the shadow fiend really ups the fun factor for me as well. I whole-heartedly agree with all 5 of these proposals and would actually put my shadow robes back on if they held up some of the core essence of the shadow spec with DoTs and multi-DoTs yet didn't strip out the hybrid abilities. Nicely done, Van Allen.

Feb 28th 2012 1:27PM This is actually a great idea - whether it's from the first drop or upon completion, or both, allowing the raid to see a cinematic (or even in-game cutscene) that progresses the story of the Legendary... that would be very cool. Raiders put in so much time and effort to helping one person in the group complete a Legendary, they should get some story buy-in to go with it.

Feb 14th 2012 12:48PM Q4tQ: What do you think is the best way to re-roll on a new server, sans character transfer? My previous server (since Vanilla launch) is dwindling and I'm ready to re-roll, but I don't want to transfer multiple 85 toons just yet because of 1) financial cost and 2) relationships on that server, guild, etc. And with Cata coming to a close, I figure now is a good time to level some alts. Are there any columns buried around here that deal with veteran player rolling on new server? Anyone have some insight? Almost everything comes into play... heirlooms or not, how to make the initial nest egg of gold, questing, dungeons or PvP to level fastest, and of course, alliance or horde? Thanks!
Feb 14th 2012 12:42PM "Suddenly... there was a 3-5 minute delay"
I do not think this word means what you think it means...
Feb 4th 2012 1:14PM Has never happened to me in XP or Win7, but I always play in fullscreen windowed so I can have easier access to the web browser. The only time I've ever had problems with WoW crashing due to low priority on my PC is when there was malware eating all the resources in the background.
Feb 4th 2012 12:55PM Dailies are teh suck. Not fun to grind the same quests for rep or reward. They just kill me. I'm so much more willing to do rep via the tabard and dungeon.
Also, Zeppelins. Anywhere I cannot fast travel, I will not go. I hate jumping back onto an alt and trying to figure out how to get around without portals. I've been playing this game since closed beta and I actually can't remember how to get from Org to Shat/Dalaran without portals cause I used them for so long in TBC and WotLK. And then there's the 10 minute flight where I leave to get a drink, come back and I'm AFK... Yes... we get it. It's an expansive world. Really? We can't just skip this time-sink yet?
Fishing and Archaeology would make the list for me, but can honestly say that with over a dozen characters in the 75-85 level range I have never completed a single archaeology dig or cast a single fishing line on any of them. Stay away... stay far, far away.
And finally... leveling through Outland. Ugh.
Feb 4th 2012 12:43PM Not to offend... but if farming is such a chore, ur doin it rong.
I agree - farming is a chore. But it's one piece of the game that is actually avoidable via the AH. One would hope that by slightly increasing your production rates for a minimal first-time investment, you could create enough profit to jump start your next investment and just buy the leather and embersilk from the AH. Use your margins to increase your purchasing power until you reach the level that you can comfortably repeat the buy-craft-sell cycle. You should save time and eventually make more money (or have more fun stuff you want).
Regarding the priest... I absolutely agree. Your write-up was hilarious :) Good luck with that!
Feb 4th 2012 12:38PM I concur! It's the next step of Transmog!
And because I can, I'll extemporize on the subject: Compared to other games' features of cosmetic gear, I think Blizz went above and beyond in their first step - differentiating WoW from the others - by allowing previously obtained gear to be used for transmog. Now that's completed, it would be awesome to change colors and add purely cosmetic gear to the available transmog list. Some of these looks have been taken care of by the misc cloth gear and holiday rewards in game, but there is definitely room for some fun combinations to be added.
