Mar 26th 2012 3:58PM I had a guildy once who liked to expound at length upon his balancing of tank stats, including how it was fine that he didn't have much health because he had so much migration.
I agreed with his choice of stats, but oh, the horror...
Feb 8th 2012 3:17PM "After the instance is cleared, Crimson Lifebinder now resurrects the non-player characters at Wyrmrest Temple, and they are fully functional."
How fully? Unless they're programmed in multiple techniques I'm not interested.
Dec 15th 2011 4:29PM OOOOooooooh shinies!

Nov 19th 2011 5:42AM You have a serious point about desensitization to violence, but this video (which I actually think put across in quite a shocking way a strong message about being careful what you wish for, unforeseen consequences etc, and yes, using some pretty black humour to make that point) is not the culprit.
For a better example, just look at your game of choice, in which you are richly rewarded for slaughtering hundreds of people (human or otherwise) on a daily basis, often on very dubious moral grounds and with a mighty dollop of humour. Art (a category that includes, in my opinion, this video, and World of Warcraft too) has helped us deal with the horrifying effects of violence for thousands of years. Some of it's very serious, some the opposite. Not all of it works for everyone (and some of it is just bad), but contrasting tragedy with comedy can be very powerful tool for an artist, and if done well the jarring incongruity is anything but desensitizing.
Oct 26th 2011 6:48PM Some monk and priest questions :)
1. What will the monk class colour be? (my money's on grey)
2. Any chance of you changing your minds and making the monk a hero class?
3. The closest thing we have now to the monk style of healing is discipline priest Atonement healing. Will priests still have that option in MoP?
4. Will heal-specced monks get a bonus to hit and expertise, or will they have to gear for it, or will their heals land even if their hits don't?
Oct 9th 2011 5:03AM I just love the fact that mages are using maths to win xD
Shine on, you crazy magical nerds.
Sep 5th 2011 5:17PM The officers here made their own 'classic blunder' which is viewing the officer rank as some kind of perk that has to be earned. That might be the case in some guilds, but in well-run guilds I've been a part of being an officer is a job, and it's not earned by long service, but by having the right skills and attitude. If large companies could only appoint internal staff to senior positions we'd have a pretty stagnant job market.
How do you know if someone has the right skills? It's hard, and usually takes a lot of time in-game getting to know them. The advantage of playing with real life friends is you already know them well - it doesn't take nearly as long to find out if they are (or are not) good officer material.
Sep 3rd 2011 3:38PM I presumed too soon! Seems there are hidden criteria: http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=5518
That'll teach me for posting with running the text through the wowhead-checker first >.
