Oct 31st 2010 5:25PM You can ding 80 by discovering a horde capital. On my main, I dinged 60 by entering Org. Half the hordies killed me, the other half emoting congrats.
It took a bit of effort, but at low level exploring you get 4-6 experience, so if you are patient and plan it out, it can be done.
Jul 8th 2010 2:46AM Mind control is amazing, as are mind soothe and mind vision. The number of priest that underutilize these 3 spells amazes me.
Mind Soothe: If it's resisted the mobs don't aggro. It makes a number of collection quests considerably easier, and also allows for a lot more sneaking around annoying group. The best use is when a pat is about to aggro and then you can stop it.
Mind Vision: You can jump from target to target to target. While PvPing you will always know where the enemy flag carrier is in Warsong.
Mind Control: See that group of 2-3 mobs that are hard to take on? Mind control one, and let them kill each other. If you release mind control when the mob is at very low health, you can 1 shot it, and still get loot and experience.
As to a con from being a holy priest. If you are a priest regardless of spec, you will be incessantly asked to heal. Even when you are raiding a level 80 raid and the person asking wants normal Violet Hold.
Jul 1st 2010 1:37PM I think the worst I've seen was when we had someone re-app. His app was bad the first time. A few months later he app'ed with an alt (that he had listed on his original app). He used the same forum account.
That not the best part. We ask for apps ages because we don't like someone who doesn't have control of their schedule. The first time he app'ed he said he was 16. The second time he said he was 14.
One of the guild recruitment officers ripped into him calling him Ben Button, it was quite classic
Jun 15th 2010 12:49AM In the end 17k gold isn't that much. Nothing in the game offered by NPC's cost that much.
The fact is, if someone has been playing the game for long enough, getting the gold is not hard. While 17k may seem like a lot to you, for many people it is a small price to pay to get that item they want.
Saying this supports gold selling is no different than saying engineers selling bikes supports gold selling.
Jun 15th 2010 12:22AM This is probably another case of the "keep trying until you find a GM willing to" issue. There have been many people on the forums that have gotten the opposite answer.
Jun 14th 2010 4:36PM Is there a way (or will there be one) to change one's password for posting comments? As much fun as having to find old e-mails for gibberish passwords is, I'd rather just use one I know.
Jun 14th 2010 12:05PM The largest hit received can never exceed your maximum health. I know because I have tried living through the Fury of the Frostmourne spell (if I can get a Pain suppression and Disc Shield, I think I can do it- go go dispersion) and have taken 55000 (checking the combat log) though the stats page says the largest I have received is 34218 - The health I have in 25 icc with the buff.
Jun 13th 2010 4:00PM ...what? That doesn't even make sense

Just throwing this out here. The tailoring profession isn't made in such a way that 90% of it's profitability is tied up in bags. If that's how you use tailoring, you're doing it wrong
