Mar 9th 2011 2:46PM Any idea how well this works on a boss like Maloriak? I've got interrupt duty on the Arcane Storm (think thats the name) and I have it pretty much covered but something like this would make it a walk in the park.
Perhaps too easy... I actually quite like the stress of having to decide if the cast is storm or not and if it is then interrupt and if not then leave.
However on a tired night this could be a godsend.
Has anyone used this on Maloriak HC yet?
Feb 20th 2011 10:22AM Hey guys,
Just leveling an Arms warrior goblin through PVP and the odd quest. Im wondering what the best addon for keeping track of rends and procs would be? I have my all abillities keybound and the icon is really small and I keep missing the proc for overpower and the finishing moves...
Thanks in advance

Dec 18th 2010 5:32AM I see that there are lots of people having issues with healing the new dungeons be it heroic or normal.
The issue here is several things but the biggest two I think are this:
Your group, including your tank, should never be constantly at 100% health. If you are trying to achieve this you will run out of mana and you can forget raiding.
DPS(and tanks) need to learn to mitigate damage by using crowd control, abilities, not stepping in fire and focusing on targets one by one. Someone mentioned running out of mana when AOE'ing. These are not fights for AOE spells, at least not yet.
I am currently raiding(Omnitron and PVP boss down), doing HC 's with my girlfriend (holy priest) and guild members; and also running normal dungeons on my own as its quicker to get my reputation up.
The most problems I have had so far have been in the normals and the main cause has actually been the tank not the healer. Tanks and dps are used to charging in pulling 4 or 5 trash mobs and dpsing down. Loot, rinse and repeat. This mindset has to change. At current gear levels if you do this your tank will die and then your heal and lastly that mage will pop invisibility and lol the heal for failing. Yet the heal did not fail here.
Tanks need to mark the targets for crowd control and also mark the focus targets. When done like this the tank will only take damage from 1 or 2 mobs instead of the full pull.
An example of this was a normal run of the Tovir dungeon. Druid tank rushes in first pull (6 mobs) no cc, no focus targets. DPS spam AOE and the tank promptly dies followed by the dps. Tank nerd rages at the heal saying learn to play and blah blah blah. I asked the tank to mark CC's and focus targets but nothing. Back in same tactic and again he dies. He again insults the healer who was actually doing a great job and also very patient. Now the tank was only 84 (had less life than me) and we had killed 2 of the mobs so only 4 remained. The healing was fine so I decided to show the tank how to work the new (vanilla :)) dungeon mechanics as this seems to be a lost art. I asked if I could tank the pull and he lolled at me and said that a Shammy cannot tank these new pulls and look how quickly he died. So I was very glad to show him and asked him to just watch.
I frogged one mob and asked the rogue to sap another. I put down my Earth Elemental totem and we quickly finshed the skull marked mob followed by the X. All this time I took little to no damage thanks to mitigating talents and the pull went off without any issue at all.
Now I now that I could not do this in HCs as the mobs would crucify me but the mechanic is sound for HCs. You need more coordination and crowd control as well learning to anticipate damage and pop your CD's at that moment.
Also everyone is currently in a learning progress for these dungeons. I have run all of them but cannot remember exactly what each boss does. The dungeons have only been out a few weeks so we need to learn some patience and humility and know that a 2h run will be normal for a while.
I love the new mechanics and cant wait to get my Paladin up to 85 so I can do some healing with him.
One last thing is there is a huge difference in mana regen and healing throughput in a few levels of item level. 329 is the minumum but 333 seems to be a good starting point and you will visibly notice you heals and mana bar going a long way.
Sorry for waffling and hope some DPS and tanks read this and wake up!
