Mar 15th 2011 5:59AM quo vadis discipline?
sems like discipline priests will become more and moer of a tank healer or sport low mana healing on the melee camp.
i miss the time when dic priests were more of a paramedic, saving butts with shields and quick heals.
maybe i'm just totally blind and/or missing the point?
Mar 1st 2011 7:16AM and today another nerf hit disc priests on 4.1
* x Power Word: Barrier's cooldown has been increased to 3 minutes, up from 2, and its effect has been reduced to 25%, down from 30%.

Feb 17th 2011 4:09AM Discipline "Fix" makes me a sad puppy.
it really hits the wrong end of the discommunity. the ones still struggling with mana who had only heard about shield spam being possible again.
does not fix anything!
push for poor shamans well desevered though!
Feb 8th 2011 8:46AM bah! reading previous posts helps!
sorry for posting this information again

5 stacks of evangelism give a 10% damage increase, once you fire archangel you lose the 10% but your overall healing is increased by 15%.
roughly you put out 5% more healing plus each smite allready adds 2% damage again so basicly after 5 smites with active archangel you are at your peak healing.
additionally while archangel is active penance also is increased by 15% and you can weave that in for additional healing.
Feb 8th 2011 8:13AM engulfing magic also increases damage / healing done by 100% and as allready said above casts by the targeted player cause AoE damage.
heal druids or dot classes can become a real nightmare if they don't leave the camp fast enough.
once you are out of the camp you can use the buff to quickly bring people up or push your damage.

it would make me a sad priest if they took CC² from us :(
Jan 18th 2011 3:57AM a little love for divine hymn would be great!
i love the changes, specially for disc priests although i will have to rethink how to spend my talent points in the disc tree and still get inspiration in the holy tree....
thanks for a great summary dawn!
P.S. a quick question: have you been rescheduling your sunday release? i loved to read you column on monday mornign in the office (EU here) to bring light into the new week but now have to suffer untill tuesday morning :(
