Patch 4.0.3a: What's in The Shattering, what's not {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2010 9:17AM Tom Chilton said, in an interview posted today at MMO Champ, that all toons will be logged in after the patch at the graveyard (not dead) nearest their hearth location so they don't log in falling to their death. Awesome!

Breakfast Topic: Predicting the future: Patch 5.0.1 {WoW}

Sep 21st 2010 2:34PM A while back, this was posted on Alakhazam. This has been pretty accurate so far. Obviously not 100%, as can be seen by some zones being renamed or bumped up, but it says something that the zones are on the list at all. Here it is:;mid=119012268058738816

So yeah, I would bet on an Emerald Dream expansion next. :-)

Breakfast Topic: Would you list WoW experience on your resume? {WoW}

Sep 14th 2010 8:41AM Unless you work in the game industry, no. As a hiring manager, and supervisor to over 100 people I can assure you these resumes will be immediately shredded. Online game skills do not fully translate to the real world. The auction house does not teach you workplace financial skills. Guild management does not have face-to-face promotion and/or demotion. It's very different when you have to tell a father of 3 to his face he doesn't have a job vs. tossing a /gkick. I am an avid gamer, I spend a good 30-40 hours per week in WoW, but you have to draw the line between real life and game life. So again, unless you work in a relevant industry, leave it off of your resume.
