Scattered Shots: Hunter changes for 4.0.3a {WoW}

Nov 26th 2010 5:38AM Are you perhaps trying this all on the new level 85 boss target dummies?

Breakfast Topic: Do you own any WoW peripherals? {WoW}

Sep 24th 2010 12:51PM Another +1 to the Naga. My main is a hunter, and it it totally fantastic. I have enough space to have a few different cooldown combos macroed, several MD macros and a focus/use tranq shot macro for Lich King hard mode.

I have a resto druid alt, and the naga makes healing so easy that I play WoW one handed with that toon, freeing up the other hand for aiding in the consumption of beer!

Breakfast Topic: The Kron'Kar Annihilator is the coolest thing ever, period {WoW}

Sep 23rd 2010 10:38PM @pancakes - Lions were found in parts of Europe up until around the 10th century. They were basically wiped out in Europe by people.

Breakfast Topic: When goals are so close, yet so far {WoW}

Sep 10th 2010 10:07AM Likewise. Almost 20 successful ZA bear runs with 2 guilds, too. There was always some new group member or "returning vet" to the guild who'd roll against me and win.

Breakfast Topic: WoW as rehab {WoW}

Aug 7th 2010 12:32PM This article really brings home how important the game has been in my life. I had amajor accident last year - I suffered a bad head injury. I was about 2/3 of the way through my first year in my degree in Costume at a pretty competitive and selective university, and after I had seizures following the injury I was put on medication with some nasty side effects.

This meant that I had to take too much time off my degree, so I was housebound by medication that made me constantly dizzy and I'd been todl that I had to drop out of my degree. I was pretty crushed, and very bored, getting cabin fever from being trapped in a house with only me and my fiancee.

I'd been playing WoW for some time, although not all that hardcore, but once I was stuck inside the game became a total lifeline. It was just as Ulduar had been released, so I went from being a sometimes player to being a constant 4 night a week player, getting server firsts and hanging with my (really awesome and supportive) guildies. It stopped me from feeling so depressed, and it made me focus on something positive rather than dwelling on the fact that I'd had to ditch the study I'd wanted to do all my life.

After I'd come off the medication I recovered, and I don't think I would have re applied for my degree if it hadn't have been for my guildies (and my mum and my fiancee) bolstering my confidence and telling me that I'd be crazy not to go back. So I went back - it turned out that I didn't even need to re-apply, they just accepted me for the next year's intake - and now I'm on the road to my dream job in costume, hopefully making awesome armor for awesome movies. And I still raid, too.

Breakfast Topic: Hey, how'd he do that? {WoW}

Aug 4th 2010 11:54AM I love responding to people asking for ports to Dal in trade, and getting an incredulous "... but ur a hunter?" in response. Jaina's Locket ( is awesome.

Patch 3.3.5: Changes to vote kick incoming {WoW}

Jun 1st 2010 10:58PM Awesome. Would have been really nice to have been able to vote kick that hunter in Halls of Stone last night who entered the dungeon and said "btw i got no arrows" and proceeded to just walk around after us, despite being told multiple times he could easily port out and buy some.
I don't vote kick often, but that would have been a good place for it.
