Jan 25th 2012 9:26AM I don't mind the personalities I encounter in LFR. It's the pseudo-ninja / loot trading that really bums me out.
My runs are usually silent, no-wipes, no chat besides an occasional "hi" or "ready" until the first boss is down and loot goes out. Then it becomes "i'll trade you XXX for XXX." You inspect these people and realize they are just needing on EVERYTHING they can to use it as a bargaining chip later for pieces they actually want. If they don't get what they want, they vendor or DE it instead of passing it to someone who could use the upgrade. THIS is what I hate about LFR. Other than that, it's great!
Dec 20th 2011 11:20AM There was a recent blue post (interview with GC) in which he stated that LFG will be available for all raid content moving forward. He did mention that they would like to add some older stuff in there but nothing more than speculation.
Dec 20th 2011 11:17AM Black. The adds are a PITA and the mana void can easily be focused down.
Dec 13th 2011 8:27AM I never listened to music while playing until I learned about www.spotify.com
Now I never play without music.
Nothing gets me more pumped for BGs like Woe Is Me - Number[s]
Aug 5th 2011 3:50PM [PVP] Damn... it was fun feeling like a warrior for a moment there. Back to being passed up fo rogues and frost DKs. /sadkittyface
Jun 10th 2011 12:30PM I did 104k dps on a zombie pack in ZG with BW + all cooldowns.. with a Devilsaur (no AoE attack). I honestly don't think it makes that big of a difference to have to pull a new pet.
But pulling a new pet is rarely an issue as long as you time it right so that he doesn't get one shot by aoe. I swap out my Devilsaur (sweet, sweet 5% crit) for my Corehound at the end of a fight if we need a bloodlust. It is too much of a dps loss to lose that crit buff for the entire fight so the 5 seconds of pet downtime is still worth it.
Apr 5th 2011 8:14AM I asked my hipster friends about pabst. They have no idea why it is the "hipster beer" .. a few years ago it was the nazi skinhead beer and a few years before that it was the dirty redneck beer. They must have one hell of a marketing department.
Mar 24th 2011 12:37PM I have been raiding Normal Mode 10 mans as BM and have surprised many people at how competetive my DPS is. Beastial Wrath CD is just over a minute which means it is easy to coordinate with other CDs (without waiting on them). People have asked me "what if your pet dies?" Heart of the Pheonix ftw. I rarely have to cast a mend pet and pet AI has actually gotten very smart about when to use defensive abilities. Plus I enjoy a priority-based rotation that allows more movement and flexibility rather than steady, steady, aimed or cobra, cobra, cobra, explosive ad infinitum. I enjoy all 3 specs but if you haven't tried BM, give it a shot. You'd be surprised at the PVP burst too. I've had my Kill Command (with CDs) crit over 70k on a zero resiliance mage. Its sexy.
Mar 22nd 2011 12:04PM Remember the Tol Barad bridge days? In org, you could both fly inside the building with the honor vendors as well as stack on top of them. I, along with many others, offered the suggestion on the wow forums to disable flying in the building and set clipping boundaries around the NPCs. Not more than a week later Blizz did exactly this. I would suggest you make suggestions on the forums and when enough people voice their opinion that it seems like a legitimate concern, Blizz will address it. Although, I do believe they already addressed the mailbox concern with "There are lots. Find a different one kthanks."
Mar 22nd 2011 11:58AM A big benefit of the new point system is that we will see faster queue times as dps/heals on the days that tanks do their big heroic grind. The unfortunate part is that by the end of the week, no tanks may feel the need to continue to queue whatsoever.
