Nov 8th 2011 9:52AM Wow, that's really awesome! Definitely want.
Oct 3rd 2011 2:11PM Scott has it right on about having the application and making everyone fill it out. My casual, friends-and-family guild gets dozens of applicants a week, primarily because we're a max level guild and people are looking for perks. By automatically denying all in-game apps and sending a personal note directly to each of those people pointing them to the website and asking them to fill out the applicaiton there, I would say we weed out over 90% of our applicants because they simply won't even go to the effort. Of those who do manage to fill out the application, a solid 20% don't bother to read the questions we want answered, use horrible spelling and grammar (when we clearly state that we're looking for it right in the application) and effectively weed themselves out, too.
Mar 17th 2011 10:00AM I'd love to see a continuation of the Chained Essence of Eranikus. It ended pretty abruptly in Swamp of Sorrows and always felt really unfinished. had it not been abbressed in Cataclysm my answer would have been Uldum, since we first got sent to the gates in the early 40s with the Disks of Norgannon.
Feb 25th 2011 1:15PM Boobah is addressing the point I was trying to get at, here. I could be reading it wrong but it looks like they're removing the offensive portion of Priest dispell making it work only on the caster to remove magic debuffs and then able to be cast on others if you're disc or holy and spec for it. There's no indication in the 4.1 patch notes that Priests will be able to use Dispell in the same manner that Shamans use Purge or Hunters use Tranquizling Shot. It doesn't explicitly say, "We're removing the ability to use this on enemies" but it pretty clearly spells out how it works as a baseline ability.
Feb 24th 2011 11:44AM You missed an extremely huge nerf to Priests, and one I'm really unhappy about. Dispel Magic now only work on the casting player as a baseline effect and a 2 point talent is required to use it on friendly targets... Meaning we're going to have to spec into being able to dispel our friends and (probably) will have lost the ability to dispell opposing players entirely, which is a HUGE pvp change. Priests being able to dispell both friendly and enemy targets has been a staple since the days of vanilla and it's a huge loss for the class.
