Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite ability in WoW? {WoW}

Mar 9th 2011 10:42AM As a hunter I've always loved Disengage. It's simply an awesome ability that you can use in almost every situation with a bit of skill and oh man is it rewarding or what? Naturally it is meant to be defenssive ability, that when you pull aggro you just jump back to saftey, but to me, it's just an a tip of the iceberg. It makes moving so easy and with the Disengage jump you can use it when going forward. And in PvP you can use it to run away or catch the other player running away! Awesome all over it. I've considered it as an offensive-deffensive-ability-for-every-problem. By decreasing the movement time, it even increases the DPS time in raids! Bad stuff in ground? Disengage! Maggots from Magmaw? Disengage!

Hunters are so awesome.

The Queue: Even though I am better than you, I am not {WoW}

Feb 13th 2011 1:00PM I found out today that in Stormwinds PvP vendors some of the NPCs are solid, so you can't walk through them like you can do to to other NPCs and players. Why so?

I belive that the reason NPC's and other characters are able to go through each other is just gameplay choice, but how do you think the overral gameplay experience would change, just as 'what if' thinking? How PvP and PvE would change? Is it just the mobility and quickness of the combat why this mechanic exists?

Feb 3rd 2011 9:00AM When you queue up for random heroic are the chances to get to all the heroics the same? Because seriously. Seriously. I'm dead serious. Blackrock Caverns. Seriously. Random used to be random. Well it's not. Random is Blackrock Caverns. Every. God. Damn. Time. Black-friggin-rock Caverns. The only reason I dont get there, is because I'm ALREADY LOCKED.

Is this insanly bad luck or what is going on?

Jan 26th 2011 11:04AM Well seems like I'm getting REALLY misunderstood... I use 'huntard' name daily, and I see it just as a sarcastic nickname, because of the hunters history. I dont use it because hunters would be stupid or something, it's just ... C'mon guys, chill out. Just a name I use while talking about them, nothing 'bad' behind it and I can't believe someone STILL takes it seriously.

That's the joke guys. It's old as time itself. It's the same thing as when I say that every loot is hunter loot. A joke. J-o-k-e. Got it? Does someone really take thoese seriously? Or offensively? If so, I'm terribly sorry, but go back to your basement and grow up. Get over it. I doubt that I had anything in the post that would even realate hunters being stupid. Just writing like I normally do, but seems like it doesnt work here that way. People take things way too seriously. When I communicate with people, I always refer hunters as huntards in heroics and everywhere. You are huntard, I AM huntard. And this is the first time someone really gets hurt by it.

And thank you for completely missunderstading the whole goddamn point in my post.

/rage

To Pyromelter, thanks for seeing what I tried to say. Yeah, I kinda doubt that we will ever see 'perfect' balance, seems kinda impossible. But I just thought as we are getting closer to that 'choose the player, not the class', so if next step would be 'choose the player, not the spec' .

(Seems like I failed trying to response...)

Jan 24th 2011 11:36AM Any idea when the new patch is coming? (If no, just skip this any move to the next question)

Do you think, that we ever get to a point where spec meant only the way you want to play your class? We're already at the point where Blizzard is trying to make people choose people to raids, not specific classes who grant unique buffs. I'm talking about the article "It's okay to be in the middle pack".

I myself play with MM huntard always, no matter the buffs and nerfs, and at the moment I'm kinda 'rare' case as even you guys usually refer that huntards equals SV. Not to me, I love to play MM and I WILL play MM if I want to. I wont change to SV now, and after nerfs go to MM, then BM, then MM and back to SV, no thank you.

I'd want to see the day where all classes POTENTTIALLY could do same DPS / HPS etc. and spec would only tell others how you want to play your class. Skill (and gear for some point, of course) would be THE thing that had the most impact on your DPS. Naturally even now best players are able to do moar DPS than others with same gear and spec, but still your choice of spec, in my opinon, decided too much in advance.

Am I just dreaming?

Paragon scores world-first Sinestra heroic kill {WoW}

Jan 21st 2011 12:15PM Suomi sauna perkele! Kyllä nyt saa olla ylpeä suomalaisuudestaan! Kyllä täällä korvessakin osataan jotain sentään tehrä. Nyt itse kun tekis saman perässä.

Mandatory "IM FINNISH AND PROUD OF IT" -moment. I'm just gonna go now...

The middle of the pack is a fine place to be {WoW}

Jan 15th 2011 7:03AM I've played MM hunter as long as I can remember and I have aboslutely no reason to change to SV. MM is a spec that I highly enjoy, I dont know what there is but I just love it. It's everything I want. People just really doesnt seem to understand it. I've been on random heroics and people are TEACHING me how to play MY class, for example "Don't you know that Cobra Shot > everything noob?", when I'm using Steady Shot instead. And sometimes when I'm asked to use Wyvern sting and I tell em that I dont have it, I can prepare for a moment of great amaze. I dont want to change for SV now, just because I'm gonna change soon to BM after buffs and nerfs, and then to MM, and then back to BM just to get back to SV.

I also love doing DPS, I love being the 'best'. My Recount is always open watching how I'm doing, and to be honest, I'm doing fairly good. And that's how I would like it to be, not about spec but SKILL. I know I'm really humble by saying this, but I think I'm good at what I do. I usually out-DPS people that have POTENTIALLY better gear or spec. The feeling you get when you are better than people that SHOULD be better than you, is just great.

I'd love to see a point where spec meant mostly about your gamestyle and rotatio, not your DPS. Spec shouldn't tell you can you out-DPS some class. When I raided more WotLK time (I just recently got back to raiding) the top 3 DPSers were almost everytime different people, and that's how I think it should be. If you know how to play your class and your spec, you should be able to compete with the first spot. Not because you chose the 'right' spec.

And to be honest, talking about DPS is kinda stupid. I know it's all fun and games, like I said I enjoy very much if I'm the best one, but in the end raiding and even heroics rarely are about DPS. If you just out-DPS everyone with your tunnelvision, you arent helping your raid. There is much more. Seriously, don't stand in the fire. Healers aren't suppoused to heal you execpt for you cant avoid, and you can use threat reduction even if it uses one of your precious GCD.

Nov 9th 2010 1:37PM So I just started playin' WoW again for few months. My question simply is, what do I wanna see before Cata? I dont mean going to see 'old favorites' and '101 places to see before they are gone', thoese I've seen already thousand times, but the limited time events. Thoese I havent and if I dont now, I'll never be able to see. So where, what and when?

Breakfast topic: Your favourite patch 3.3.3 change? {WoW}

Mar 24th 2010 12:08PM The thing I noticed when I was logging in...

Hunters are wielding ranged weapon in charter selection screen. Best thing ever.
