Jul 4th 2010 6:05AM @Annuilae - It's in the Missile Barrage talent. ABG now has a 100% chance to proc MB, and no longer consumes your AB stacks. Additionally it looks like its base damage has been MASSIVELY buffed; currently the talent reads "386-470 Arcane damage", while in the beta it reads "1124 to 1372 Arcane damage".
So Barrage has recieved a massive buff, and may be an actual part of our rotation; or at least a situational one. I see it as being used a. when we have to move (with no downside!), or b. When we've stacked Blast to 4 with no proc. A quick Barrage will solve that.
Jul 2nd 2010 7:59PM In the same way, though, I was bored as hell by hitting level 80 at the start of Wrath, because I'd barely replaced ANY gear - and I hadn't even gotten any drops from the Sunwell. Wrath is coming to an end, and so will the massive gear inflation. It was a mistake in the first place, and this is the only way to make sure everyone's on an equal footing. Those people that wipe on Marrowgar? They'll still be wiping in Blackwing Descent and the Bastion of Twilight, while you take down Cho'gall on hard mode. What does it matter if you're in the same gear while levelling? A good player will level faster.
The one thing I'm concerned about is threat in Cataclysm. In Wrath, DPS players (myself included; my main's a Mage, and I have two tank alts) have become used to starting with their most powerful nukes and cooldowns at the very beginning of a fight. It's going to take a lot of aggravation and explaining, and not a few deaths, to make some of the DPSers understand that they have to, effectively, "Wait for Sunders" again.
Jul 1st 2010 12:14PM They're English - thank you Blizzard!
Jun 18th 2010 8:44PM That's because it's a Dwarven city - most of them look pretty similar. There's a great example in the North-Eastern Grizzly Hills - Thor Modan, home of the Iron Dwarves. What we can see of it looks very similar to IF. I guess when you live in a mountain there're only so many ways you can make it look different.
Jun 13th 2010 8:07PM I have to agree, I'm fairly terrified that it'll be another place we're faced with Knaak's badly-written Mary-Sues. I'm hoping against hope that we'll be in the events of the original timeline, not helping Rhonin, Brox and Krasus. To be honest I think that explaining their presence there in-game to anyone who hasn't read the books would be a bit tough to do.
Jun 3rd 2010 4:57PM Well that seemed to fix it - not sure which it was, but I cleared all three: my history, cookies and cache. Cheers for the advice.
Jun 3rd 2010 12:17PM I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, but for a couple of days now the mouseover links on wow.com have been broken for me; they display, but there's no background - just text. It makes reading them pretty tough.
OT: Halion looks awesome. The first Twilight DRAGON (Vesperon, Tenebron and Shadron were just Drakes) we'll be fighting - and he looks like he has pretty good command over both fire and shadow.
May 31st 2010 7:35PM The Phylactery, especially it's heroic version, is one of the BiS trinkets for Fire Mages, which are very well-represented in ICC heroic modes. Just pointing out an error there.
May 28th 2010 4:17PM Seriously, Mage for life, baby. Why would you play any other class?
